A few days ago, Jessica Bang went to Thailand to compete in the KLPGA Tour's International Qualifying Tournament. It is an important event that could have made way for her to grow professionally in golf. However, nearly two weeks ago, on August 1, 2026, she suffered a brain hemorrhage. According to reports, Jessica was preparing for the tournament when she reportedly collapsed onto the ground.

In turn, Jessica was rushed to Synphat Ramintra Hospital. After initially assessing her situation, the doctors performed an emergency brain surgery on her. But despite the medical treatment and a two-week stay at the hospital, Jessica died on August 13, 2026.
The WPGA Tour of Australasia confirmed the heartbreak. In fact, they also took the opportunity to extend their condolences to her family and loved ones. At the same time, the organization released a statement saying that the thoughts of the entire Australasian golf community were with the young golfer's close ones. Meanwhile, Jessica's death came after her family members dealt with several days of uncertainty, hoping that she would get well.
When Jessica was fighting for every breath in the hospital, her cousins, Summer and Amelia, started a GoFundMe for her. The fundraising campaign was started to support her medical care and to bring her back from Australia to speed up her recovery.

After Jessica's death, her cousins shared the emotional message on GoFundMe. They mentioned þthat she died at around 7:20 a.m. local time on August 13, 2026. They explained how the family was heartbroken and expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported or prayed for her during the difficult time.
The emotional message remembered Jessica not just as a talented athlete but also as a vibrant 18-year-old full of life. At the same time, her family mentioned how they would always treasure her memories and continue to celebrate her achievements. All the funds from the GoFundMe will now go to her parents, who have to settle important medical expenses incurred on her in Thailand.
