For those unaware, reports suggest that Tobey, 51, was seen getting intimate with rapper, Ice Spice, 26, at Michael Rubin’s annual White Party in the Hamptons. The duo were reportedly caught kissing on the balcony by paparazzi. It is worth noting that Tobey had previously sparked dating buzz with Lily Chee, 29 years his junior.

According to reports, Lily Chee is a model, actress and content creator. She is based in New York and was first discovered by her manager when she was just 10 years old after a soccer game. Over the years, Lily has grown a huge fan base on social media, with over 1.6 million followers on Instagram and over 310k subscribers on YouTube.
Coming to her work as a model, Lily is known to have collaborated with several renowned brands like Dior, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger. When she has free time, Lily prefers to travel, shop around, play soccer, and also dance at times. She often posts about her different activities on her Instagram.

While reports of Lily dating Tobey Maguire initially came as a shock to many, a source at the time revealed that the duo were seeing each other casually. They had apparently met via common friends, including businessman, Richie Akiva. The source was quoted as saying, “They aren't seriously dating, but have been hanging out.” Talking about Tobey and Lily's hangout at Michael Rubin's annual party, which initially sparked their romance rumours, the source further added:
"Tobey knew Lily and her girlfriends were invited to the party, and they planned to hang out and meet up. They were together all night hanging out, having fun, and went to an after-party with a big crew."

This also led to severe backlash against Tobey on social media. However, it was the Spider-Man actor’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, who rallied in his support. Jennifer claimed at the time that she usually prefers to stay out of any kind of social media frenzy or respond to online speculations. But she couldn't help herself when it came to the dating buzz between Tobey and Lily Chee.
According to Jennifer, Tobey was simply trying to help out his “friend”, Lily, to her car, when paparazzi nearby saw their interaction and seemingly made up a fake romance story between the two. Hitting back at the criticism that Tobey had to face because of this link-up, Jennifer stated that if spreading hate towards a person makes them feel better, then it was good for them. She was quoted as saying:
“I don't usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car, being a good guy. And now he has been blasted online for dating someone he is not. But thank you for your rude comment. I hope it made you feel better today. Wishing you love and light.”
