Even before their wedding, the duo had already been making headlines since their star-studded rehearsal dinner last night, on July 2, 2026, and at present all eyes seem to be on Madison Square Garden for the big ceremony. Amid this, the question everyone is most curious about is who will stand beside Taylor and Travis as their maid of honour and best man, respectively.
Who will be Taylor Swift’s maid of honour?
Even with their wedding day here, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have done their best to keep the details of their big day under wraps. As of now, neither of the duo has announced who is playing maid of honour or best man. However, according to social media reports, the chances of the maid of honour being someone from Taylor's close childhood friends or her early days in Nashville are incredibly high.
One person in particular who many believe will stand beside Taylor as she says ‘I do’ is none other than her high school best friend, Abigail Anderson. Taylor and Abigail have reportedly known each other since the first day of freshman year at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee and have remained best friends even now that the former has become a global pop sensation with a huge fanbase.
To highlight how important Abigail is in the singer's life, it is worth mentioning that the singer gave a shoutout to her bestie in her 2008 hit, Fifteen. The lyrics recall Taylor meeting “a redhead named Abigail” at school before their bond strengthened and they became inseparable.
One of the main reasons that fans expect to see Abigail as Taylor's maid of honour is that the singer was one of her bridesmaids and has served as the maid of honour during the former’s wedding back in September 2017. They believe that Abigail could now return the favour at Taylor’s own ceremony. Additionally, she was also spotted at Taylor’s rehearsal dinner at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, July 2, 2026, wearing a beautiful butter yellow dress.
For those wondering who Taylor's other bridesmaids will be, it will reportedly include her longtime bestie, Selena Gomez. She will most likely be attending the wedding alongside her husband, Benny Blanco.
