Now, while the Swifties had been in support of her relationship with Travis from the start, the same cannot be said for some NFL fans.

During an earlier appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Travis Kelce reflected on his relationship with his fiancée, Taylor Swift. He claimed that he had never expected to be in a relationship with Taylor and said that it had been a crazy ride. The Kansas City tight end noted that most of the world was having fun with it except for some “cranky NFL fans.” In his words:
“You know, it's been a crazy, crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated, man, but I'm having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside of all the cranky NFL fans that just don't want to see the Chiefs win.”
According to Travis, he and Taylor were “slowly reeling” in the critics who were “fighting it right now.” Later, in the interview, when the host, Pat, remarked on his love for the global pop star, he called his relationship “a beautiful thing.” He wished that everyone realised that they are just two people who always support each other and have fun with it along the way. He claimed that they would continue to do so no matter how much the world tried to make them the enemy. Travis was quoted as saying:
“Hopefully, everybody realises we're just two people supporting each other and having fun with it, man. It's nothing more than that, and how much the world wants to paint the picture and make us the enemy, we just have fun with it, and we enjoy every single bit of it.”

But the one report that caught the most attention is how Travis and Taylor have already tied the knot before their star-studded wedding that is supposed to take place on July 3, 2026. A source close to the couple recently revealed that the couple got married “in front of a tiny group of loved ones.”
It is believed that the rumoured nuptials took place in Tennessee. The insider was quoted as saying, “They are already married.” As of now, neither Travis nor Taylor has confirmed whether what the insider revealed is true or not.
However, fans are totally convinced about this theory. Taking to social media, one fan wrote, "They probably did it on June 26, 2026, because numbers and nerd stuff.” Another noted, “It might also be the reason for the USD 26 million in donations.” A third comment read, “100000000% Got married in CA or MI under seal already. Our girl would never get legally married during Mercury retrograde. Her legal wedding date was perfectly planned on the best date for her and Travis to have a long, healthy marriage. MSG is the party.” Another fan penned:
“I was just saying this to my best friend earlier! I swear I thought she'd pull a Dua Lipa (courthouse wedding for immediate family and then the big glamorous wedding for the tabloids and fans) and the Madison Square Garden event is just that a paid sponsored television event for Disney+.”
