Who is Saumya Tandon’s husband, Saurabh Devendra Singh?

They say behind every successful man, there is a woman. But in Saumya Tandon’s case, it’s the opposite. The credit behind Saumya’s success goes to her husband, Saurabh Devendra Singh. He is a business executive and an entrepreneur who previously worked as a banker. It is Saurabh, who has encouraged Saumya to act, while he managed their home and son.

Saumya is a very private person and hardly discusses anything related to her personal life. She met her husband, Saurav, in Delhi while he was studying at IIT Delhi. His roommate was dating Saumya’s best friend, and that is how Saumya met Saurabh. When Saurabh went to IIM Ahmedabad, Saumya’s mother fell sic,k and he flew back to Delhi to meet her.

Saumya Tandon had a huge fight with Saurabh on their first date. However, despite the anticlimax, her father told her that Saurabh was the one meant for her. Once in an interaction with Hindustan Times, Saumya spoke about her first date and said:

“For our first date, I was coming from Delhi and he from Pune, and we met at a restaurant in Mumbai. Within 30 minutes of meeting, we fought. So, it was quite an anti-climax. I was quite disappointed and almost crying. When I came back to Delhi and told my father about him, he said ‘don’t worry, men are like that. They mature much later in life and yours seems to be a nice guy’. So that is how actually my first date ended up.”

Saurabh encouraged Soumya to pursue acting

After dating each other for over a decade, often living in different cities, Saurav and Soumya got married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai in 2016. The duo welcomed their son, Miraan Tandon, in 2019. Despite not being from the entertainment world, Saurabh persuaded Saumya to act. In an interview post about embracing motherhood, Saumya revealed that she and her husband decided to plan a way so that either parent stays at home while the other goes to work. In her words:

“Saurabh is surprisingly very good. He is chipping in and excited about handling all the responsibilities. He does all that he can, especially during the weekend, because weekdays are very hectic. He has also told me he will work around his time so that even I can manage my work.”
