The actress is happily married to Jasmine Shah and recently spoke about her child completing a year milestone. Her fans have been on cloud nine as it seems that they were not aware of Padmapriya and Jasmine being parents to a baby.
Padmapriya kept the face of her baby private and sometimes in the past she has spoken about her relationship with her husband, Jasmine Shah. She had shared that their love story was something created on shared values, intellectual compatibility and unconditional mutual respect for one another.

Padmapriya had met Jasmine when both of them were pursuing higher education in New York. She was pursuing a Master's in Public Administration from New York University. Jasmine, on the flip side, was enrolled at Columbia University. What kicked off as a friendship soon turned into a lifelong relationship. Padmapriya once spoke about feeling an instant connection at the beginning of their relationship. In her words:
"The day I met Jasmine, I had already decided in my heart to marry him."
During that time, neither Jasmine nor Padmapriya had thought that they would be entering politics. According to the actress, Jasmine had not thought of his career or future ambitions. It was not his character or future-related ambitions but Jasmine's character and principles that made her attracted towards him.

Padmapriya, in an interview with Onaroma, had revealed that Jasmine's ideology and values had attracted her to him. Jasmine has been an author of The Delhi Model and also a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party. He has been known for his dedication towards the welfare of people and also public policies. Padmapriya, speaking about her love story, had mentioned:
"The day I met Jasmine, I had already decided in my heart to marry him. But I didn’t know he would enter politics—he didn’t know either. The only thing I was certain about was that he would never do anything to harm another person. We both come from middle-class families, and that shared understanding of values drew me to him."
Padmapriya also stated that it was mutual respect and understanding that defined their relationship. She stated that as a partner, she does not interfere in Jasmine’s political stances. Padmapriya has not been an active political participant, and his association with the party does not impact her in any way. In her words:
"Tomorrow, I could vote for Congress or any other independent candidate. That’s the beauty of a healthy relationship. What binds us is our shared belief in diversity, inclusion, and equal rights for everyone."
Who is Padmapriya's husband, Jasmine Shah?
Jasmine Shah has been the vice chairperson of the Dialogue and Development Commission. It is the policy think tank of the Delhi Government from 2018 to 2024. Jasmine is also a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and played an important role in creating reforms of the Delhi Model in transport, environment, electricity, education and employment sectors.
Jasmine's career has spanned across two decades and has had many roles in the private, non-profit and government sectors. He was earlier the deputy director of MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, South Asia, and also the nationwide Jaago Re voting campaign held at Janaagraha.
Jasmine Shah has been a graduate of IIT Madras and has a Masters in Public Administration degree from Columbia University, New York. Padmapriya has been proud of Jasmine's way towards life and stated that his choices spoke about his values. In her words:
"If Jasmine had chosen to pursue a corporate career using his academic qualifications, he could have earned a high salary and lived a luxurious life. But this was his choice, and it’s this value system that connects me to him. From the day I first met him, I admired his integrity and principles."
Padmapriya had also revealed that her partner, Jasmine, was physically attractive, but his ideas had captivated her. She had tagged Jasmine on her social media post when announcing that their baby had completed a year.
