De Dhakka actress Medha Manjrekar kept her first marriage largely out of the spotlight. She was married to her first husband before she debuted as an actress; therefore, that aspect of her life is not publicly documented. Even later on, when Medha moved on with Mahesh Manjrekar, she never spoke about her non-celebrity first husband. Medha likes to keep her public persona focused on her career as an actress and has avoided talking about her past life.
Among the very little information available about her first marriage is that the mystery man holds the surname Ingale. His first name is not known publicly. The specific timeline of their relationship or their cause of split is also not available online. The former couple share a daughter named Gauri Ingawale, who followed in her mother's footsteps and became an actress. The love story between Mahesh and Medha began back in 1995, shortly after her divorce from Ingale. Mahesh met Medha for the first time when the veteran actor was directing the film, Aai. It was love at first sight for Mahesh. He wanted to cast Medha in his film, thinking that she would get the role. The veteran actor also managed to get Medha's phone number from actress and acquaintance, Neena Kulkarni.
Mahesh then called up Medha and offered her the role. She had one condition before signing for the film. As she was on a European tour at that time, she told the veteran actor that she would shoot only after she returned to India. He didn't give a second thought and agreed to her condition. He also postponed the shoot to fit her schedule. While working together, the couple fell in love and started dating.
Mahesh was so smitten with Medha that he reportedly once wrote her a love letter with his own blood. Within months of dating, Mahesh tied the knot with nine-year-younger Medha in 1995, and since then, the duo have been happily married. The couple share one biological child, a daughter named Saiee Manjrekar, who was born on December 24, 1998. Saiee is also an actress, who made her Bollywood debut alongside her father in Salman Khan's Dabangg 3. She worked in films that included Major and Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaa.
Since their marriage, Medha has been a supportive pillar to Mahesh. She stayed by him when he was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer in 2021. She lauded the veteran actor for continuing to work in the film Antim: The Final Truth despite undergoing chemotherapy. In October of the same year, Mahesh had an 11-hour surgery, following which he was declared cancer-free.
