Loren Waters is an independent filmmaker, producer, and casting director from Cherokee Nation with Kiowa heritage. She is currently generating immense buzz online for being linked to Jacob Tobey in a viral cheating buzz. Keeping the controversy aside, Loren is an accomplished professional in her own right. She served as a background casting director for Hulu's Reservation Dogs and worked on Martin Scorsese's film, Killers of the Flower Moon. She has also been named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list and Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film.
Loren founded Waters Media, where she develops documentaries and narrative projects centred on native voices. Her credits include Reservation Dogs, Fancy Dance and The Lowdown, while her short documentary, Tiger won the Short Film Special Jury Award for Directing at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Her work has received recognition from SXSW, Hot Docs, the Princess Grace Foundation, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, of which she is a member.
Now, coming to Loren Waters' connection with the basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs, for which Jacob Tobey was a broadcaster. Loren is a familiar figure among the Spurs players, as she is the sister of the team's guard, Lindy Waters III. She is close to her brother and also serves as the executive director of the Lindy Waters III Foundation, which supports Native youth through education, leadership and community initiatives.

Loren Waters became a trending topic after she was named in a viral social media post exposing an alleged extramarital affair with Jacob. Loren was born on July 16, 1995, and is almost 31 years old as of July 2026. It makes her two years older than 1997-born Jacob Tobey. The duo's link-up started after his longtime girlfriend, Kasserine Taylor, discovered his alleged infidelity, accessed his personal Instagram account, and posted a public confession. The explosive statement could be read as:
"This is my girlfriend of six years. But I cheated on her with Loren Waters... So feel free to continue following me if you really think I'm a good guy because I'm not. :)"
As for Jacob and Kasseine's current dynamics, the duo has parted ways. In a lengthy Facebook post, Jacob's girlfriend mentioned that she was visiting his family for two weeks. However, on the third day, she found out about Jacob's cheating. She stated that he woke up and his parents made him take down the story. She further asserted that you can be with a person for six years, yet they would cheat. She wrote:
"This is now his ex-girlfriend. I was visiting his family [with] him for two weeks (we were on day 3) when I found out about him and Loren. He woke up. And his parents made him take down the story. Stay safe out there ladies. You can be 6 years in visiting grandparents one hour and sleeping in bed the next at his family home, and they still will cheat."
