Who is Kyle Lowry's wife, Ayahna Cornish-Lowry?
According to reports, Kyle Lowry's wife, Ayahna Cornish-Lowry, was born on February 2, 1985, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Like her husband, Ayahna also used to play basketball after taking an interest in the sport from a very young age. She even managed to earn the Best Offensive Player award as part of the women's team at St. Joseph’s twice in a row.
While playing in the Catholic League Northern Division, Ayahna took home the MVP award twice. To mention, she had a full scholarship at St. Joseph University. Her performance eventually earned her the captaincy of her college basketball team after she secured All-City Team honours several times.
Throughout the duration of Ayahna’s college career, she managed to record a total of 682 points as well as 125 assists. She reportedly averaged 3.6 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, Ayahna’s basketball career came to an end when she was still in her junior year of college after she suffered an ACL injury.
At present, Aayana seems to be focused on her work in philanthropy. She founded the Lowry Love Foundation, which strives to provide better lives to the underprivileged communities in Toronto and Philadelphia. For instance, it seems that they provide families in need with resources like school supplies, food, clothing, and other things while partnering with other organisations.

Kyle Lowry had promised that he would re-sign with the Toronto Raptors so that he could retire as a member of the franchise. Well, Kyle kept good on his promise, and a while ago, on July 7, 2026, he signed a one-day ceremonial contract. It is worth noting that Kyle is one of the 12 players in NBA history to have played 20 seasons in the league. Additionally, his date of announcement, July 7 or 7/7, can be seen as a nod to the No. 7 jersey that he wore while playing with the Raptors. Taking to social media, he wrote:
"Thank you to my family, my friends, my teammates, my coaches, my opponents, the staff, the media and especially the fans. It's all about you. I appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you, Toronto. Thank you, Canada. And as I always told y'all, it's officially happening. I'm retiring as a Toronto Raptor -- 20 years and 1 day. Seven forever. I love y'all. Peace."
Soon after Kyle’s announcement, tributes came pouring in. One social media user wrote, “There’s no disputing Kyle as one of the greatest Raptor players of all time, especially if he led y'all to a chip.” Another wrote, “Kyle is the goat. His loyalty, heart, hard work, and grit can't be put in stats or numbers; if you know, you know.”
