Meet Jeanie Buss’ husband, Jay Mohr
According to reports, Jeanie Buss' husband, Jay Mohr, was born on August 23, 1970. He hails from Verona, New Jersey, and pursued his education at Verona High School. During his high school days, Jay was part of the wrestling team and even served as its captain.
Later, Jay found his passion for acting, making his debut in the show, TGIF. Some of the other credits to his name include CSI: Miami, Camp Wilder, The West Wing, Christmas Do-Over, The Man Show, and Gary Unmarried, where Jay also served as the producer.
Apart from his work on television, Jay has made a name for himself in the film industry too. His most notable movie appearances came in Street Kings, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Jerry Maguire, Picture Perfect, Air, and Lonely Street, to name a few.
Jay Mohr is well-known for creating and hosting Last Comic Standing. Additionally, Jay also served as an executive producer. Jay was even part of Saturday Night Live from 1993 to 1995. Later, he hosted Fox’s Jay Mohr Sports and his podcast titled Mohr Stories.
Coming to Jay’s relationship with Jeanie Buss, the duo reportedly began dating in 2017. However, it wasn't until a few years later that the couple confirmed their relationship on X (formerly Twitter) in 2021. As their relationship progressed smoothly, Jay got down on one knee and proposed to his now-wife on December 21, 2022.
Jay and Jeanie tied the knot over the Labor Day weekend, on September 3, 2023. They had an intimate wedding ceremony in Malibu, and among the attendees was Lakers podcast host Aaron Larsuel. At the time, he shared a photo with the bride on her big day on his Instagram. In the caption, he wrote:
"My brother and sister @jaymohr37 @jeaniebuss had the most beautiful private ceremony in Malibu this evening and made it official. Congrats you two!!!"
Aaron has revealed that the ceremony was followed by what he thought was “the party of the century.” Apart from the podcaster, reports suggested that Jay and Jeanie’s wedding was attended by around 20 people, including the couple's closest friends and family.
Jeanie Buss' past relationships
It is worth noting that this is not Jeanie's first marriage. The Lakers owner was previously married to volleyball player Steve Timmons. While they tied the knot in 1990, they got divorced just three years later. According to Jeanie, she never put her marriage first and claimed that it was always business that attracted her.
She found love once again and, in December 1999, began dating Phil Jackson, who served as the then-Lakers head coach. The couple even got engaged in 2013 but called it off later in 2016 by posting a joint statement on X.
Despite her last failed relationship, Jeanie Buss and Jay Mohr often give couples goals. They often shower each other with love on social media, be it by making birthday wishes or anniversary posts.
