Jade Cargill is one of the most well-known American professional wrestlers. She is best known for her time in All Elite Wrestling from 2020 to 2023. She is also a former one-time WWE Women's Champion. 

Jade Cargill is currently hogging the limelight after her WWE Clash in Italy match, which took place on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Reportedly, she lost the Women's Title Match against Rhea Ripley but still delivered a noteworthy performance. Amid this, many have become curious about Jade Cargill's husband, Brandon Phillips. Brandon Phillips is 11 years older than Jade Cargill 

If reports are believed to be true, Brandon Phillips is 11 years older than his wife, Jade Cargill. In fact, in her personal essay, Jade had opened up about their age difference and how it's something they poke fun at in their relationship. She wrote:

“He’s 11 years older than me, so we always do the little math of where we were at in different times in our life. I legit think I must have been at one of his games when I was in elementary! But the dynamic is sweet. Brandon is a goofy, fun-loving man, and I’m very similar, so we just mesh. He’s the person that calms me down, I guess you could say. He’s my peace.”

Brandon Phillips is a former MLB player

Just like his wife, Brandon, too, had been a part of the sporting world. While Jade is best known for her fights in the wrestling ring, Brandon Phillips is one of the most loved players we have seen in MLB. Notably, his career had spanned 16 years. Brandon debuted back in 2002 after being selected by the Cleveland Indians. He had also played with the Cincinnati Reds for several years before deciding to retire in 2018 after his run with the Boston Red Sox. After his retirement and during his appearance on the podcast, In the Front Row with Mike Vaccaro, Brandon Phillips said: 

“Playing for the Red Sox was nice. It was a huge eye-opener, it showed that they really take care of their family and it’s about a business, about being united. The Red Sox, they really did it the right way. They really took care of their players.”

Brandon Phillips owns a softball team with Jade Cargill

Brandon Phillips and Jade Cargill have been the co-owners of a women's softball team since 2022. Opening up about the team, Brandon explained on the In the Front Row with Mike Vaccaro podcast that they are called The Texas Smoke. He claimed that he wanted to go with something that would make people think twice, catch their eyes, and also be a name that nobody's ever used. One year after becoming co-owners of the team, the pair led The Texas Smoke to success in the Women's Professional Fastpitch softball championship.

After winning multiple awards at the Women's Professional Fastpitch banquet, Brandon wrote on Instagram that he loves seeing the impact on women's sports and creating a new environment for the next generation. It is worth noting that Brandon is quite proud of being a co-owner with his wife, Jade. This was evidenced by his statement after the team's one-year performance, where he said, “How many people can really say that I was a co-owner with my queen? And we won a championship.” 

Brandon Phillips was the co-owner of the Lexington Legends

Aside from his role in women's softball, Brandon Phillips also had a major role when it comes to leadership of MLB. In May 2021, Brandon joined the Lexington Legends franchise as a co-owner. At the time, Legends President and CEO, Andy Shea, said in a statement: 

“Having a future Hall of Famer on the Field, in the Clubhouse, and part of the Ownership Group is great for our entire community and the entire game of baseball. Brandon’s talent level, passion for the game and engagement with fans is second to none. This is a great day for baseball, to officially have him back on our field.”

Brandon Phillips and Jade Cargill share one daughter together 

Over the years, Brandon Phillips and Jade Cargill have welcomed one child, a daughter named Bailey Quinn, together. Bailey was reportedly born in 2017. In 2022, Jade admitted that she wants to be a pioneer for the next generation, but especially for her and Brandon's daughter. In her personal essay for The Player's Tribune, she wrote that she wants Bailey to enjoy every second of this and that when someone asks her what her mom does, she wants her eyes to light up and tell that person “everything she's absorbed.” 

Brandon Phillips' siblings are also in the sports world 

Sports run in Brandon Phillips' family, as all three of his siblings chose to go into athletics. Reportedly, his younger sister, Porsha Phillips, is a professional basketball player who has played in the WNBA for the San Antonio Silver Stars. His younger brother, P.J. Phillips, on the other hand, became the manager of the New Jersey Jackals in November 2022. Brandon's oldest sibling, Jamil Phillips, had previously played for the Texas Rangers and owns a baseball training club.
