Madison Keys is one of the most well-known American professional tennis players. According to reports, she has been ranked as high as world No. 5 by the WTA. She has also won ten career singles titles, including a Major at the 2025 Australian Open.
At present, Madison Keys is hogging the spotlight for her outstanding performance in the 2026 French Open. Most recently, she defeated Victoria Mboko in the third round of the tournament on May 30, 2026. Amid this, many have become curious about Madison Keys' husband and coach, Bjorn Fratangelo. If you are one of them, we have got you covered.

As per his profile on the ATP Tour, Bjorn Fratangelo is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While he had relocated to Naples with his family when he was in high school so that he could play against a larger pool, he still thinks of Pittsburgh as his home. During an interview with Tennis.com in 2016, he revealed that if he gets the chance to return to the city, he hopes to inspire the youth in Pittsburgh to work hard to achieve their dreams. He said:
“When I'm home at the club, I try to talk to the kids playing and hit around with them when I'm done with practices. I hope I can make an impact for tennis in Pittsburgh. That would be great.”

Bjorn Fratangelo is a pro tennis player who started his career pretty strongly after winning the French Open boys' title at the age of 17 in 2011. This raised his ranking to No. 2 in the world before he went professional in 2012. Bjorn went through a few difficult years professionally due to his 2018 leg injury. He was quick to get back into the winner's circle in October of the same year. At the time, Bjorn bagged his third ATP Challenger Tour title in California, which was his first in two years. While speaking with ATP Tour at the time, Bjorn said:
“This is probably the most emotional victory I've had in my career. I don't get excited about a lot of things, but this one is pretty bittersweet with how my year has gone and how I've been able to turn it around. If a few months ago someone told me I'd be holding a $100k Challenger title, I would have laughed. But here I am, and I'm pretty proud of myself.”

Bjorn went on to say that the reason he was able to get out of his “slump” was with the help of his family, including his wife, Madison Keys. However, he decided to retire from tennis in 2023 following a foot injury.

According to the ATP Tour, Bjorn Fratangelo and Madison Keys crossed paths for the first time when they were training at a facility in Boca Raton, Florida. Apparently, they were also part of the same group of close friends. Later, they both moved to Orlando, one after the other, and, interestingly, began living in the same apartment complex.

Bjorn and Madison began dating in 2017. After six years of dating, Bjorn proposed to his ladylove in March 2023. They posted a picture of Madison's engagement ring on their Instagram with the short but sweet caption, “Forever.” After successfully winning during the opening round at the Credit One Charleston Open, Madison revealed how Bjorn proposed to her. She shared:
"He actually did it at home. The day that I got back from Dubai so I was not expecting it at all. I was sitting on the couch, and he was like, ‘Hey, I have your birthday present.’ He handed me something and then got down on one knee. Just sitting on the couch, so now we have to keep the couch forever."
After retiring from tennis professionally in 2023, Bjorn joined his wife, Madison Keys' coaching staff. In September of the same year, Madison spoke about Bjorn's support and coaching skills while she was playing in the US Open, noting, “Everything's been really good.” She added that Jesse Pegula's coach, David Witt, would often call him coach of the year and that he's coming for his titles.

According to Instagram, Bjorn Fratangelo and Madison Keys tied the knot on November 23, 2024. Their wedding reportedly took place at a resort in South Carolina called The Dunlin. Talking about the big day, Bjorn wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Madison, “Can't put into words how amazing this day was. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with you @madisonkeys.” The duo's guest list featured some pretty well-known faces in Tennis like Denis Kudla, Mitchell Krueger, Sloane Stephens, and Jessica Pegula.
