Hannah Harper and Devon Mendenhall's love story began long before they reached the spotlight. The couple first met in a small church in Southeast Missouri. Hannah was a worship leader there, and soon they became high-school sweethearts. Eventually, the couple got married on April 7, 2018, when Hannah was just 18, to build a life rooted in faith. Earlier in February 2019, Devon suffered a fractured back and collapsed lung in a serious car accident. 

During that time, Hannah was pregnant with their first child. According to their family sources, it was a life-threatening situation, and he was immediately airlifted to the hospital. Hannah later admitted she feared that she would become a widow before becoming a mom. But Devon recovered, and they welcomed their first child in the same year. Later, they welcomed two more boys.

Hannah Harper grew up in the Appalachian hills of Missouri. She travelled for 7 years on a tour bus with her family's bluegrass gospel band, The Harper Family, which traces her musical roots. Now, Hannah Harper has emerged as one of the stronger contenders to win the title of American Idol Season 24. She has frequently received praise from judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
