Who Is Casey Wasserman's Ex-Wife, Laura Wasserman? They Divorced After Talent Agent Cheated On Her?

Casey Wasserman is one of the top entertainment executives and sports agents, well known in business circles. For those who are unaware, he is not only the CEO but also the founder of Wasserman, a sports and talent agency. In case you haven't been keeping up with the news, Casey Wasserman is grabbing all the headlines after his name was mentioned in the newly released Epstein files. The documents feature a series of emails which the Justice Department uncovered following its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. In a few of those emails, the seemingly 'flirty' messages between Casey Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's co-conspirator and close associate, caught everyone's attention.  

These emails reportedly trace back to 2003, 19 years before Ghislaine was convicted of s*x trafficking, for which she is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. It is worth noting that Casey Wasserman was married to Laura Ziffren Wasserman at the time of his risque correspondence with Ghislaine. Since his emails came to light, his reputation has undergone considerable damage. This is evidenced by Chappell Roan's recent announcement, where she revealed that she has decided to part ways with the Wasserman agency and is no longer represented by them. Who is Casey Wasserman's ex-wife, Laura Ziffren Wasserman? 

Back in 2001, Casey Wasserman tied the knot with Laura Ziffren. She is the granddaughter of a well-known politician, sports administrator, and tax lawyer, Paul Ziffren. He had served as the chair of the Democratic National Committee in 1960, and later, in 1984, as a board member of the Summer Olympics. Additionally, he was also one of Casey's grandfather, Lew Wasserman's friends.  

Regarding Laura's education, she attended Harvard-Westlake School, then studied communication and media studies at Northwestern University. Reportedly, Laura also holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley. After completing her studies, Laura Ziffren decided to intern at a number of entertainment companies, such as Warner, Columbia Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, and Geffen Pictures at the start of her career. Some time later, she served as an A&R for recording labels before landing a job as a music supervisor for Avenger Entertainment.

Eventually, she was promoted to President, a position she held from 1993 to 1995. After this, Laura Ziffren Wasserman joined the Fox Corporation as the senior VP of Creative Music, staying there for more than six years. In the early 2000s, Casey Wasserman's ex-wife started her work at WH Entertainment as a partner. Her last known most notable job was when she joined Overseas Entertainment in 2010 as its President. While Laura Ziffren Wasserman's career has been nothing short of enviable, she is also a philanthropist who, while she was still married to Casey, used to often offer her time at the Wasserman Foundation, the UCLA Centre for Child Anxiety, as well as the zoo and College Track boards.  

Did Laura Ziffren Wasserman end her relationship with her husband, Casey Wasserman, after he cheated on her? 

Casey Wasserman and Laura Ziffren Wasserman might have seemed like a power couple in the industry, given their shared background in executive roles; however, after spending over two decades together, they went their separate ways. If a report by The Hollywood Reporter is to be believed, their marriage allegedly “ended after [Casey Wasserman] took up with a flight attendant, Jenny Chandler, who'd worked on his private jet.” According to Vogue, Jenny currently appears to be an artist. Furthermore, she has also attended high-profile events alongside Casey Wasserman, including a Vanity Fair Oscars Party. In 2024, the Daily Mail published an email which Jenny supposedly sent to Casey Wasserman's then-wife, Laura Ziffren Wasserman. In the mail, she disclosed her affair with Casey and wrote: 

“Him and I have been together for 7 years, which he’s lied to you about. He f**ked me in your bed at Redford. And also, Robin. And also, Cancun, in the house. You should know all he’s done to you.”

While Laura Ziffren and Casey Wasserman were still married, the couple welcomed two children together: a daughter, Stella, and a son, Emmet. According to a March 2025 profile by Voyage LA on Stella Wasserman, she seems to be studying at the University of Texas. Additionally, she used to run an NIL agency in order to prove that she doesn't need to rely on her parents and can do something different from them. Speaking about her father, Casey Wasserman, Stella explained:  

“The most difficult thing so far has been proving that I belong where I am. Because of who my dad is, I don’t want people to think that he is why I succeed. So, I have decided from the beginning that I want to make my own name, separate from his, to prove that I deserve to be where I am.” 

At present, Casey Wasserman's daughter, Stella, works as an event producer for electronic music-based events. From DJs to frat parties and more, she hosts them all, but most are held around Texas. In addition, Stella promotes events for Special Delivery Presents and assists with show bookings and tours at Wright Bookings. On the other hand, her brother and Casey Wasserman's son, Emmet, is a student at New York University, where he is doing a Bachelor's degree in film/video and photographic arts.
