Jill Zarin and Gary Brody started dating in 2018, after she lost her husband, Bobby Zarin, to thyroid cancer in January 2018. Bobby and Jill married on January 4, 2001, and the former reality TV star stood by Bobby throughout his entire sickness until his passing in 2018. She soon found love in entrepreneur, Gary Brody, and the couple made their relationship public in 2018. 

Gary Brody was born in 1963 in New York City and has two younger siblings. He is the owner and president of a men’s apparel company called Marcraft Apparel Group. Gary has achieved quite a lot of success in his career, with his company landing deals with major corporations like Nautica. In 2017, Nautica and Gary’s company collaborated and inked a tailored clothing licensing agreement. In 2012, Marcraft landed a design deal with Lanier Clothes. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Transportation Distribution Management from Syracuse University. He later earned his Master’s in Business Administration from New York University. According to Gary's LinkedIn profile, he also attended Cardozo School of Law.

Gary has been working as a Sales specialist for Simple Suit Company since January 2020. It is a men’s suit and tuxedo company. He keeps a relatively private life when it comes to sharing about his life on social media, but he ensures that he attends events and makes red carpet appearances with Jill Zarin. Gary was previously married and has two kids, Daisy Brody and Riley Brody, with his ex-wife, whose name remains unknown. Gary used to apparently date Ramona Singer, as was suggested by Jill during the reunion of RHONY Season 10, replying to which Ramona said:

 "That's true. We went on four dates, I wasn't even divorced yet. My foot was just in the pool of getting divorced. I wasn't ready for a relationship."

The fact that Ramona and Jill shared a man is somewhat surprising, considering the two were at each other’s throats when Jill left RHONY after season 4. They had been friends before that, of course, even starting the franchise together back in 2008. And it turns out, Bobby’s declining health helped repair that friendship.

Jill and Gary faced a lot of criticism during the early months of their relationship, as the audience felt that Jill moved on pretty fast from her husband after his demise. Some even speculated that she was involved with Gary before her husband’s death, but these speculations were shut down by Jill. In July 2018, Jill spoke out to People about her connection with Brody and their dating timeline and put an end to all the rumours and speculations around their dating. She said:

 "I don't typically comment on tabloid stories, but I felt it was important to set the record straight and let you all know I haven't been dating anyone for six months. I just started accepting a few dinner dates after much thought and support from my close friends and family."

In a conversation with The Daily Dish, Jill shared that Bobby wanted her to move on before he passed away and would have really liked Gary. She also said how Bobby wanted her to continue living her life, find love again, play tennis and just not be alone in life.

Coincidentally, Jill and Gary bonded over playing tennis as friends quite often. They even attended major tennis events together in 2018, including Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. Jill also made their relationship Instagram official by posting a picture of the two playing tennis with the caption: “Trivia question. "What is the origin of the term Love in tennis?”

In summer 2019, Brody was seen at I. Friedman and Son Jeweler in the Diamond District, ordering an engagement ring for Jill Zarin. However, nothing more has been released on the couple’s plans to get married anytime soon. However, to give their fans something to hold onto, the couple did move in together in the summer of 2019 in a rented penthouse in Sutton Place that was formerly owned by the famous painter, Georgia O’Keeffe. Gary often accompanies Jill on red carpets, like in June 2019, the couple attended the 20^th anniversary of beauty company Bluemercury in NYC together.

“I want Ally to get married before me. A lot of mother’s do and should put their children first. So I want to put her first."

Jill continues to navigate her relationship with Gary, and the two have been immensely in love ever since 2018. They have been a constant support for each other and have tasted success together. In March 2023, Jill shared a photo of a trip they took to the Caribbean, and in January 2023, she shared a selfie of herself and Gary in Palm Beach on her Instagram.
