Following in her mother's footsteps, Trinity decided to pursue a soccer career and was drafted second overall in the National Women's Soccer League in 2021. At the time, she was only 18 years old. She currently plays for the Washington Spirit, with whom Trinity has reportedly shattered several records.

In July 2023, Trinity got the opportunity to participate in her first FIFA Women's World Cup with the U.S. Women's National Team. She did not stop here; just a year later, in 2024, Trinity made her Olympic debut in Paris. Here, she reportedly scored the first goal for the USWNT, which ultimately led them to win gold. However, in April 2025, the National Women's Soccer League announced that she would indefinitely stop playing due to back issues. On the other hand, as we have already mentioned, Trinity's boyfriend, Ben Shelton is a professional tennis player, son of former pro players, Bryan and Lisa Shelton.

Trinity Rodman and Ben Shelton sparked dating rumours on TikTok 

If reports are believed to be true, Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman had a number of TikTok back-end-fourth exchanges in March 2025. Apparently, Ben was the one who started it all by posting a TikTok video of himself listening to ILBB2, a song by GloRilla and Jorjiana. As the lyrics, “They say shooters shoot/ Duke Dennis, what's up with you,” played, the text on the screen read, “T****** wsp with u.” Seemingly in response to him, Trinity made her own TikTok video where she could be seen mouthing the same lyrics. What differed was the text on top of the clip, which read “_ _ _ wassup w you.” Eagle-eyed fans soon noticed that their videos were intended for each other.  

Trinity Rodman and Ben Shelton went Instagram official 10 days after their flirty TikTok exchanges 

Trinity Rodman and Ben Shelton surprised fans when they hard-launched their relationship only 10 days after their seemingly flirty TikTok exchanges. Taking to Instagram on March 17, 2025, Ben posted a series of pictures, but what caught everyone's attention was one showing him and Trinity in an elevator. The photo featured Trinity with one arm around her boyfriend's neck as she kissed him on the cheek. Ben captioned the carousel, “I been focused, but I'm steady climbin', I'm nowhere near my peak.” Trinity, referencing their previous TikTok trend, replied in the comment section by writing, “Shooters shoot, I guess.”  

Trinity Rodman made her debut at the players' box during the BMW Open 

On April 19, 2025, Trinity Rodman made her players' box debut at the BMW Open semifinals, which were held in Munich. It is worth noting that this was also the first time that Trinity was seen cheering her boyfriend from the players' box. According to People, footage which was captured during the tournament and later posted on Instagram showed the Spirit star sitting beside Ben's father and coach, Bryan Shelton, during the match. At the end of the match, Ben emerged as the winner, defeating Francisco Cerundolo, successfully making his way to the final. Trinity was spotted again at the players’ box on the very next day, on April 20, 2025, during Ben's final match against Alexander Zverev.  

Trinity Rodman and Ben Shelton do not shy away from publicly speaking about their relationship  

From the very beginning, neither Trinity Rodman nor her boyfriend, Ben Shelton, has been shy about discussing their relationship in public. For instance, during a March 2025 interview with ESPN's SportsCenter, Trinity revealed how she felt after revealing her relationship with the tennis star to the world. In response to a question about how the public reacted to their relationship, Trinity said: 

“So yeah, I'm obviously very happy, and hopefully some of the world's happy. It's in the public eye, so I can't really do much about that.”  

Ben Shelton's response to the same was no different. At the time, he told the Post that he was “happy for sure” in his relationship.” However, what took him by surprise was to see how their fans reacted to them going Instagram official. Ben said: 

“I guess I didn’t think it would blow up as much as it did. That’s not why I did it. I feel like, you know, posting your girlfriend on Instagram is a more normal thing. I guess because of who it is, is why people went nuts a little bit. But yeah, kinda crazy how much it did blow up...and I realised, ‘Wow, people care about my life that much.’”
