Meet Lisa Lopez-Rison, Andre Rison's Wife Shares Same Name As His Late Ex-fiancee Amid His DUI Case

After nearly two decades of retirement from the NFL, Andre Rison is back in the spotlight. But unlike his performances, his behaviour has brought him to the news. The football star was booked into a Michigan jail after a second-offence impaired driving case. Needless to say, his legal case has brought him attention. But at the same time, many fans are curious about his family and life after retirement. Especially his wife, Lisa Lopez-Rison, whose name has an unusual connection to his past. 

Who is Lisa Lopez-Rison?

Lisa Lopez-Rison has been married to Andre Rison since September 2012. They first met at an event in Scottsdale in 2019. Since then, they have formed a strong connection. Earlier, Lisa worked as a flight attendant. In turn, she mostly stayed out of the public eye. Incidentally, Lisa shares the same name as Andre's late ex-fiancée, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of the legendary RandB group TLC. Eventually, the coincidence left Andre surprised, too. In past interviews, he joked that he initially thought it was a prank. 

Therefore, he reportedly asked her to show her ID documentation because it felt unbelievable. Despite the coincidence, Lisa Lopez-Rison and the late TLC star are completely different people. Later, Andre and Lisa built a quiet, faultless life together, away from the media attention on his earlier relationships. The couple has also kept their marriage relatively private in comparison to the media attention on his life in the 1990s. The duo welcomed four kids together. 

Andre Rison got arrested for DUI 

Andre Rison is once again in the headlines due to his legal troubles. According to court records obtained by different news outlets, Andre pleaded guilty to a second-offence operating while intoxicated charge. It stemmed from his arrest in 2025. After a recent hearing, the former NFL player got a five-day jail sentence and 18 months of probation.

According to the report, he was booked into the Oakland County Jail on Friday night. He is now expected to be released upon completing his sentence. At the same time, he has been ordered to pay more than USD 2, 300 in fines and fees. In fact, an extra charge of open intoxication in a motor vehicle was dismissed as part of the case.

The DUI case is an informative chapter for the former football star, who was one of the most famous wide receives in the NFL in the 1990s. He was known as "Bad Moon" and had a successful 12-year career in the NFL. He was initially selected for the league in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft.

Andre played for several teams, including the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts. One of Andre's career best years came with the Atlanta Falcons. Throughout his career, he was named a First-Team All-Pro in 1990 and also led the NFL in touchdown receptions in 1993. In fact, he also helped the Green Bay Packers win Super Bowl XXXI in 1996.
