Bridget Fonda was once one of Hollywood's most well-known leading ladies in the '90s before she stepped away from the spotlight. However, her fans were recently delighted when she was spotted during a rare Los Angeles outing. It gave her admirers, an insight into her life after she stepped out of the spotlight. In fact, she has seemingly chosen to live a more quiet life focused on her family and personal contentment.

Bridget Fonda, 62, retired from Hollywood 24 years ago to live a private life. But she was recently photographed after paparazzi spotted her leaving a restaurant in the city. Her assistant accompanied her as they grabbed lunch and left. In contrast to her glam look in the '90s, she wore a casual striped tank top and black pants.

Moreover, Bridget kept a low profile as she normally left the place. Her images quickly went viral because the former actress' public appearances have become more rare in recent years. She has been photographed only a couple of times since she left the entertainment industry in the early 2000s. 

One of Bridget's most viral appearances came in 2025, when she was seen with her husband and the popular composer Danny Elfman. It was the first time the media had spotted the couple together in more than 16 years. However, fans' interest in her life has not changed Bridget. Instead, she has clarified frequently that she prefers to stay away from Hollywood to lead a private life. 

In fact, in one of her earlier encounters with the photographers, she was asked if she would ever resume acting. Yet she had a clear response that she did not have any plan to make a comeback. Instead, Bridget felt it was "too nice being a civilian."

For those unaware, Bridget Fonda lives a quiet life in Los Angeles nowadays. She stays with her husband, Danny Elfman, whom she married in 2003. At the same time, the couple has a son named Oliver, who was born in 2005. After welcoming her child, the former actress shifted her focus from film sets and red carpet to motherhood. 

Bridget spent most of her time away from Hollywood raising her family. Some observers believe that her decision is one of the rare examples of a major Hollywood star who voluntarily left fame at the peak of their career. A significant turning point came in the former actress's life in 2003 when she survived a serious car accident. However, it caused her a spinal injury. So, the incident had also played a role in her decision to focus on her health, family, and personal life rather than the spotlight. 

Meanwhile, Danny Elfman has faced public heat in the past for accusations of sexual harassment, misconduct, and inappropriate behavior. He has always denied these claims by two women, and Bridget has continued to support him and their family in private.

Now, after more than two decades of her retirement, she appears content with the life she built for herself. Although many former stars try to make comebacks, Bridget has stated that she has no interest in doing the same.

She hails from the legendary Fonda family, who have a special history in the field of acting. The former actress is the daughter of Peter Fonda, and the niece of Jane Fonda. She also happens to be the granddaughter of Hollywood icon Henry Fonda.

Despite coming from a famous lineage, she established her individual identity with great performances. Bridget initially rose to fame with Scandal in 1989, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Alongside, it marked the beginning of her grand Hollywood career. 

Bridget went on to act in many popular films, including Single White Female, A Simple Plan, Point of No Return, and Singles. In fact, versatility enabled her to work across a variety of genres, including thrillers, dramas, and romantic comedies. At the same time, she received an Emmy nomination for her role in Gloaming, which made her a popular face on television. Eventually, Bridget was last seen on the TV show Snow Queen in 2002 before she quit the profession.
