Sidharth Venugopal was one of the most loved Malayalam actors, who was best-known for his charming screen presence and strong acting skills. In 2019, the actor rose to fame when he replaced actor, Gireesh Kumar in the serial, Bhagyajathakam. Reportedly, in the serial, he played the role of a villain. At that time, the actor sat down for a conversation and opened up about the serial. According to TOI, he shared:
"I was convinced about taking up the role because previously when the team approached me for Bhramanam and Sahayathrika, I couldn’t get onboard due to my busy schedule. Now, my schedule has freed up and I want to utilise that time to play a new character."
Further, during the same conversation, Sidharth Venugopal also revealed that the reason behind the same was his late father. Sidharth Venugopal stated that his late father wanted to see him a villain once, however, he tragically passed away before it. It is worth noting that his character name in the serial was ‘Arun Shenoy’. Sharing the same, Sidharth Venugopal was quoted as saying:
"I always wanted to do a negative role like Prithviraj did in his Tamil film Kana Kandaen because it was my father’s dream too. Arun Shenoy is also a smiling villain.
