Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan is a popular face in the entertainment world, who needs no introduction. She is one such celebrity in the Hindi film industry, who never minces her words. Time and again, Bebo often lands herself in controversies and falls prey to trolls, courtesy of her bold statements in public about her contemporaries. One of the lesser-known rivalries of Kareena was with Vidya Balan and her attack on the latter, which made headlines.
For the unversed, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vidya Balan have never been on good terms. Their rivalry was so gruesome that once, Kareena apparently took a dig at Vidya by making a controversial remark on her weight gain at a public event. Vidya Balan, who has given us many memorable films in her career, played the role of 'Silk Smitha' in the film, Dirty Picture in 2011. It's worth mentioning that Vidya had to gain extra kilos for her role in the film. However, it was around the same time that Kareena was filming for her film, Tashan and was promoting her size zero figure.

Yes, you read that right! During an old interview at the time when her film, Tashan was released, Kareena Kapoor took a nasty dig at Vidya Balan over her weight gain in The Dirty Picture. Bebo fat-shamed Vidya by mentioning that being fat is not sexy and even targeted the actresses who gained weight for a role and admitted that they were comfortable with it. She had said:
“Being fat is not s*xy! Anyone who says that is talking crap. Voluptuous is s*xy, but fat is out. Any woman who says she doesn’t want to be thin is talking nonsense. It’s every girl’s dream. It may be a trend now with some actresses, but I definitely don’t want to look plump or fat!” That’s not it."
Well, that’s not all! Later, during her appearance on the talk show, Koffee With Karan, Kareena made another remark on Vidya Balan. When the host, Karan Johar asked Bebo what she would do if she woke up as Vidya Balan one day, the Udta Punjab actress replied that she would feel dirty. Bebo said:
“I would feel dirty!”

While it was not cool for Kareena Kapoor to look down on a certain body type just because it doesn’t suit her idea of perfection, Vidya didn’t take her comment lying down. Instead, she wittily commented on Bebo’s film, Heroine, which failed to work at the box office and lauded her film, The Dirty Picture. Talking about Kareena’s comment in an interview with The Times Of India, Vidya said:
“It can’t get dirtier than ‘The Dirty Picture’. They could make a ‘Heroine’, but no one will be able to make ‘The Dirty Picture'.”
Well, we love how Vidya Balan gave a sharp reaction to Kareena Kapoor's statement, which left many people wondering if she took a dig at Kareena’s movie, Heroine where she played the lead role.
