Akshay Kumar is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. The actor is loved for his power-packed performances, handsome look, and larger-than-life lifestyle. He has worked for several years in Bollywood by treating his fans with blockbuster hits. With over 100 movies in his name, the actor has made himself shine brightly amongst the others. Even at this age, he is busy with his career and bagging back-to-back movies by leaving his fans in awe.
The actor has bagged several awards for his contribution to the industry. Such awards include two National Film prizes and two Filmfare Awards. In 2009, the talented actor was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. However, recently an old video of the actor made its way to social media, where he could be seen making some startling remarks about the awards in Bollywood.
A video featuring Akshay Kumar went viral on the internet, where he could be seen gracing a talk show, and he was joined by the veteran actor, Anupam Kher. In the video, the actor looked dapper as he sported a white-hued T-shirt and paired it with a grey-coloured coat and pants. On the other hand, Anupam Kher looked dashing in a black-coloured coat.

As the video began, we could see Akshay Kumar being asked why he hadn't ever been awarded in Bollywood. While replying to the same, the actor then made a startling revelation. Akshay said he was not being awarded because he was asked to do the show in half payment to receive an award. The actor shared that he never accepted such offers and told them to give that award to some other actors and give him the full payment.
The actor then dropped a bomb by saying that no one could ever notice that those who are present at a particular award show only he/she gets the award, and there is no award for those who aren't present. Akshay then shared that while presenting the awards on stage, he noticed that in the awards, there's a name already present in it, but that name is cut, and there's another name written on it. However, further in the video, Anupam Kher praised the actor for his impeccable acting mettle in Special 26 and mentioned that he should have received the national award for the same. Moreover, Akshay could be quoted as saying:
"Award nai dete mujhe. Aisa hai ki vo kehte hai ki agar aapko award chahiye toh jo humare show hote hai vo aadhe paise mein kar do. Main bolta hu aap pura de do, aap award kisi aur ko de do. 30-32 awards nights hote hai usmein har kisi ko award milta hai. Aisa kaise ho sakta hai sabko alag alag kuch awards mil raha hai kahi na kahi. Aur aisa kyun hota hai jo insaan wahan baitha ho ussi ko award milega, jo absent ho use milega nai. Kamal ki baat hai kisi ko samjh nai aata. Bhai kisi kisi ne acha acha kaam kiya par vo aaya kyun nai. Tu beta aaya hua hai isko do. Actually mein aapko batau jab main award present karta hu kabhi upar aake toh uspe kata hua hai ki iska naam kat ke yeh naam likha hua hai."

Reacting to the video, one user wrote, "Now people will realise what Kangana says is correct of these award functions."
