Bollywood diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most stunning actresses in the history of Indian cinema. Whether we talk about her acting chops or her beauty, she was one of the leading ladies of her time. Even at the age of 49, she still possesses the same grace, style and aura for which she was renowned back in the good old days. However, there’s an interesting scoop about Aishwarya Rai from the time when she was leading the Hindi film industry.
In 2004, Rajkumar Santoshi assembled a series of stars for his neo-noir action film, Khakee. The film’s cast comprises stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Atul Kulkarni, Prakash Raj, Tanuja, and the list goes on. The film was a commercial success, but it was Akshay and Aishwarya’s chemistry in the film that left the audiences in love with them. However, things took a wild turn when a famous celebrity magazine, Star and Style, penned a story about Akshay and Aishwarya that stunned the entire industry.

During her visit on Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan, Aishwarya Rai opened up about the infamous incident when the Star and Style magazine reported that during the filming of Khakee, she was caught red-handed by Raveen with Akshay.
Revealing the entire incident, Aishwarya shared that she sued the magazine for reporting such a false story about her and Akshay. Aishwarya didn’t reveal the name of the actress, who was caught red-handed with Akshay by Raveena. Recalling the same, she said:
"Well, at the very beginning of my career, I was very furious, and I had taken, Star and Style to court, because they had carried an article when the whole world knew who it was and not me. But it was presented that I was caught with Akshay Kumar (laughs), and Raveena had come and apparently blasted me when it was absolutely untrue. Everybody knew who that was; it wasn’t me."
During the time when Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai were shooting for their film, Khakee, reports were rife that something was brewing between the two leading stars of Bollywood.
For the unversed, as per multiple reports, speculations about them being in a relationship started when they posed together for a photoshoot. While Aishwarya raised the temperature in blue swimwear, Akshay looked hot in his shirtless avatar. The pictures not only gained a lot of attention from the fans of both stars but also initiated their dating reports.

Once in an interview with the Indian Express, Akshay Kumar was asked to share his views about Aishwarya Rai with whom he had worked in a series of films. The Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood lauded the actress for not being a diva. Akshay also added that Aishwarya never threw any tantrums on the sets and is an extremely easy person to work with. The actor admitted that it’s refreshing to work with actresses like Aishwarya. He had said:
"Aishwarya is not a diva. She does not throw tantrums. She does not come with any baggage whatsoever and is an extremely easy person to work with. It’s refreshing to work with someone with whom I have not worked with for a while."
