Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan Opens Up About Being In A Relationship, 'No Fun When My Boyfriend..'

As of now, only three episodes have been released, which has already made fans go gaga over Lauren's performance. Amid viewers eagerly waiting for the next episode to arrive, Lauren shocked fans by confirming that she is in a relationship.
Lauren Cohan gushes about her boyfriend and calls him 'my man'
During a recent interview with People, Lauren Cohan opened up about being in a relationship. She referred to her boyfriend as “my man” and said that “They’re my heart.” It is worth noting that even while gushing about him, Lauren chose not to reveal her boyfriend’s name. Lauren added, “I’m very lucky to have a person who’s a cocktail of good qualities.”
According to Lauren, her boyfriend supports her as much as possible. For instance, she shared that he even drops by the set; however, this doesn't always work out for the Walking Dead actress. This is because Lauren claims she is an early bird who prefers to unwind after a long day of filming by “going to bed at 7:30 p.m.” Unable to hold back her laugh, she said:
“Anytime after 8 I become completely loopy. It’s no fun when my boyfriend comes to visit me because I’m like, ‘Oh, I love you. I’m so glad you’re here. Good night.’”
Lauren Cohan claimed that she is very “fiercely independent” and dating has allowed her the opportunity to find a balance in her life. The 44-year-old said that maturity has shown her that she can be ambitious with her career while also making the time for a relationship. Lauren admitted that for her, it makes her career more meaningful.
Before dating her current boyfriend, Lauren was linked to talent agent Christian Carino. The duo sparked romance rumors when they were photographed holding hands at a New York Rangers game back in 2016.
Lauren Cohan claims Walking Dead is her 'longest-running relationship'
Lauren Cohan reportedly finds it “wild” that it's already been a decade and a half since she first began playing the role of ‘Maggie’ on The Walking Dead. October 2026 will mark 15 years of her having evolved from a compassionate farm girl to the ultimate apocalypse survivor. Speaking about how the show is her “longest-running relationship,” she stated:
“It's like marriage for me. It's been like 15 years. It feels longer, weirdly. I’ve had some of the biggest changes to my life while being on this show. It doesn’t feel like time has moved because I’ve always had the show with me. I've moved countries three times, but this is the longest running relationship I've had, I suppose.”
Well, despite it being her longest-running relationship, the journey for Lauren in the franchise has not always been smooth-sailing. About eight years ago, the actress walked away from playing 'Maggie.' Reports at the time claimed that Lauren and her agents were “not happy with the offers” she was receiving when negotiating the contract for The Walking Dead Season 9.
Lauren returned once again two years later for the show’s Season 10 finale. She rejoined as a regular for Season 11 of the show. At present, Lauren has no intentions to stop playing her iconic character. This is because she believes ‘Maggie' has plenty of stories left to tell. In her words:
“Once you get to know characters in a different way, or once they let a new part of themselves be shown, a whole new world of possibility suddenly clicks. As long as you can maintain good writing and the ability for people to change, I think the possibilities really are endless.”
