Vivaan Shah is one of the most promising actors of his generation. Following his actor parents, Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, the actor has made a name for himself in the film industry. Vivaan made his acting debut with the film, Saat Khoon Maaf, in 2011. Later, he worked in popular films like Happy New Year, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, Coat, Bombay Velvet, Kabaad: The Coin and many more. Talking about his personal life, the actor was head over heels in love with Karishma Sharma. However, now, after dating each other for 2 years, the duo has parted ways.
In an interview with ETimes, Karishma Sharma opened up about her breakup rumours with Vivaan Shah. Talking about the same, the actress confirmed the news and mentioned that they have parted ways because they both want different things in life. She stated that Vivaan will always be like a family to her, but for now, they both want to focus on their career. Elaborating more about it, Karishma said:
"Yes, we decided to part ways as we were in two different stages of our lives. Both of us want to focus more on our career. Vivaan will always be like family to me. Sometimes, things just don't work between two individuals."

Further, in the same conversation, Karishma stated that she is lagging behind in her career because of her relationship. Elaborating more on it, the actress said that she is enjoying her singlehood and exploring herself. In her words:
"I need a break from relationships and focus more on my career. I have always chased love, but it's important for me now to be more aggressive towards my career. I'm enjoying this phase of singlehood, learning more about myself and focusing on learning new skills in life."
Earlier, a report in ETimes had mentioned that Vivaan Shah and Karishma Sharma had ended their two-year-long relationship. Elaborating more about it, the report stated that the ex-couple had problems in their relationship right from the beginning, and they were constantly taking breaks in between. The report also revealed that despite getting separated, Vivaan and Karishma are on good terms with each other.

Karishma and Vivaan kept their relationship under wraps for a long time. However, it was in 2022, when Karishma opened up about their relationship for the time during an interview. Talking about the same, the actress had mentioned that Vivaan and his family supported her when her father passed away. Calling Vivaan's family her own, Karishma stated that he is the biggest blessing in her life.
