Yes, as we all know that India is playing her first Test match (of the 3 match series) against England at Edgbaston, skipper Virat Kohli smashed a fantastic century in the first innings on Day 2. And after he reached his 100-mark, he thumped his bat in the air, delightfully took out his wedding ring and kissed it! He waved at Anushka who was sitting in the stands and she stood up and started clapping intermittently. No wonder, his wifey, Anushka Sharma’s heart must be brimming with emotions and bliss. After India’s win against South Africa in the Jan-Feb 2018 tour, Virat had said, “My wife has been keeping me motivated throughout, she deserves a lot of credit for this. She has been criticized a lot in the past, but she is one person who has kept me going throughout this tour and when times have been tough and I am really grateful for that”. Now, Virat also has the sweetest words for Anushka which he gave to The Wedding Filmer, the couple’s official cinematographers. He said, “She guides me even when her body is not with me. Her words are. Her strength is. That is love. That is when you’ll know.”
Recently, in an interaction with the ESPN, Virat had revealed how he foresees parenthood with Anushka. He was quoted as saying, “Everything in life is transient. It will end one day. I have a life. I have a family. I will have kids. They deserve all my time. That is something that is very, very clear and close to my heart. I want no part of my career being flashed into my house. I want no part of my trophies, my achievements, nothing in my house when our kids are growing up”.
In another interview, when Virat was asked if concentrating on cricket has been any problem for him after marriage, he replied, “Not difficult at all, I was away for something (marriage) which is much more important. That is a period that will always remain special for both of us. Switching back to cricket is not difficult at all because it is in my blood like it is for every other team member and the team management as well, so getting back to professional front is not difficult at all”.
