On January 11, 2021, Virat and Anushka had gotten blessed with a baby girl, whom they have lovingly named, Vamika. Even after Vamika’s birth, Virat and Anushka had asked the paparazzi to not click their baby’s pictures and respect their privacy.

But the scenario has totally changed and we have often seen Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma being snapped whenever they step out with their daughter, Vamika. On March 21, 2021, Virat and Anushka were clicked at Ahmedabad and Pune airport as they had travelled with other Indian cricketers and their families. In the pictures, Vamika could be seen hidden from the camera with a white cloth, cuddled in Anushka’s arms. The doting mommy made sure that Vamika’s face is not captured by the paparazzi.
On April 19, 2021, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma reached Mumbai for RCB’s (Royal Challengers Bangalore) next IPL match. The couple was clicked while coming out from the private airport in Mumbai with their daughter, Vamika. Anushka, dressed in a white top with blue denim, shoes and face shield, was seen carrying baby Vamika in a baby carrier. Vamika looked cute in her pink outfit and a cute pink hairband with a bow.
While Anushka swiftly made her way, she gave a glance at the shutterbugs clicking her baby’s pictures. On the video, netizens trolled Virat and Anushka for traveling with their little girl, Vamika amid the COVID-19 pandemic. One user commented, “But why these wife's need to travel in this condition of covid yaar. Ghar par baitho na yr safe side.” People also trolled Anushka for hiding Vamika’s face.
After Vamika’s birth, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had sent gift hampers to the paparazzi fraternity in Mumbai, urging them to respect their daughter’s privacy. Expressing their gratitude, the couple had written in their note, "As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support. While, we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same."

To mark International Women’s Day 2021, Virat Kohli had posted an adorable selfie of Anushka Sharma and Vamika Sharma Kohli. Expressing his feelings on witnessing the birth of his child, Virat had captioned the mother-daughter picture as “Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It's because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women's Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who's going to grow up to be like her mother. And also, a Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women of the world.”
