The exceptionally talented actor, Vikrant Massey is hailed for his acting chops in 12th Fail. Hailed one of the most versatile actors, Vikrant began his career by working in TV shows. Though he got tremendous recognition, the actor in him was not satisfied with the sort of work he was getting. Hence, he ventured into films and proved the mettle of his acting by doing out-of-the-box roles.
Vikrant, who comes from a humble middle-class family has often talked about the same in various interviews. In a recent interaction with Samdish on his YouTube show, Unfiltered by Samdish, Vikrant revealed how his close friends judged him when they visited his home. Elaborating on the same, he stated:
“Ek incident tha jahan pe maine logon ko ghar bulaya, apne doston ko, bahut gehre dost the and I am proud of it. I am not ashamed of it. Main aapko mansikta bata raha hoon logon ki. Kyun ki meri maa bahut achha khaana banati hai, toh maine bola ghar aao yaar, daawat pe bulaya sabko.”

However, when Vikrant’s friends visited his home, they were disappointed and judged the actor for the same. Sharing people’s mentality, Vikrant narrated the changed behaviour that he witnessed in them the next day. In his words:
“Jab ghar ki disha dekhi unhone, unhone dekha ki plastic ki kursiyaan hai ghar pe paint chip ho raha hai, silan lagi hui hai ceiling pe, kitchen unke hisaab se aesthetically clean nahi tha, toh agle din se phir unka bhartaav meri taraf badal gaya. Mujhe chats dikhaayi gayi hain ki Vikrant ka ghar kaisa hai. Oh my God he lives in a house like that. Usko dekh ke to lagta nahi hai.”

Talking about Vikrant’s career, he made his acting debut in 2007 in the sitcom, Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. His other notable works include Balika Vadhu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Qubool Hai. In 2013, Vikrant made his Bollywood debut with the film, Lootera, in which he had a supporting role. He also acted in films like Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death In The Gunj, 12th Fail and many more. In 2018, Vikrant ventured into web shows with the popular crime drama, Mirzapur and was seen in shows like Broken But Beautiful, Criminal Justice, Made In Heaven and a few others.

On the personal front, Vikrant Massey got married to actress, Sheetal Thakur in an intimate ceremony in 2022. The couple dated for some time and got engaged in 2019, and officially registered their marriage in 2022. The couple welcomed their first child on February 7, 2024.
Vikrant Massey was recently awarded the Filmfare Awards for Best Actor (Critics) for his film, 12th Fail.
