One of the best festivals of the year, Diwali is almost here and we are thrilled as always. Unlike every year, people would be opting for a low-key celebration this year, owing to the global pandemic. Amidst all, we are excited to see how our favourite celebs are planning to celebrate the festival of lights. And for Mirzapur actor, Vikrant Massey, this Diwali will be quite special as he would celebrate the day with his fiancée, Sheetal Thakur. Vikrant had made everyone his fan by his effortless acting and amazing screen presence. Although he had made his television debut in 2004 with the serial, Kahaan Hoon Main, he had gotten recognition in 2009 with the serial, Balika Vadhu. He had made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film, Lootera which was followed by films like Dil Dhadakne Do, A Death In The Gunj and Half Girlfriend. He is not only riding high professionally but in his personal life too, as he is happily rokafied with his long-time girlfriend, Sheetal Thakur and is making the most of his courtship period.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Vikrant has revealed that this year Diwali will be really special. Talking about the same, he shared, “2020 has been a very significant year, both personally and professionally. Yes, I did formalise my relationship with Sheetal, and had many projects, too. God has been kind.” Talking about how 2020 was a challenging year, the actor stated, “This year has been very difficult on most of us if I can say so, and yet to be able to cater to audiences with four films, interact with them on a day to day scale, is something every actor aspires to do.”
Vikrant further talked about celebrating Diwali at his new home with fiancée, Sheetal and said, “I’ll be performing the Laxmi puja for the first time there. I don’t think koi shikayat hai, jo upar waale ne cheez di hai, haath jod ke, naman karke swagat karta hoon. I just hope that people keep giving their love, respect and time to my films. He also shared that he didn’t burst crackers in the past two-three years but his fiancée, Sheetal loves to do it. In his own words, “Sheetal loves to, But I really think we have to be responsible and not contribute to pollution that is around at this point in time. I will be with my family, maybe invite few friends over, do the puja, that’s about it. A few video calls here and there. I don’t think there will be anything extravagant.”
On April 3, 2020, Vikrant had turned a year older and the handsome actor had celebrated his 33rd birthday with his mother and fiancée, Sheetal. To wish her man on his birthday, Sheetal had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a heart-melting picture with Vikrant. In the picture, we could see Sheetal in a light-blue top, teamed with denims, and on the other side, Vikrant had looked dapper in a black t-shirt and olive pants. Along with the picture, Sheetal had written a lovely birthday wish for her ‘bebu’ which could be read as “You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and most beautiful person I have ever known - and even that is an understatement.
