It was on October 30, 2018, when Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had embraced parenthood and had welcomed ‘Baby Mirza Malik’ into their lives. A few months before delivering her firstborn, Sania had attended the UN Women India's launch of #MujheHaqHai campaign event, wherein she had revealed that their child won’t just take his/her father’s family name (i.e. Malik) forward but will have ‘Mirza Malik’ as the surname. Izhaan’s pictures are a visual treat and just like his parents, the little munchkin too enjoys a huge fan following.
On November 10, 2020, Sania took to her IG handle and shared a video of Izhaan reciting his duas. Izhaan looked adorable as he memorised his duas and recited it to his amma, Sania. The doting mother revealed how her little wonder is a quick learner as he learnt the duas in just five days. Sania’s caption can be read as “I am a proud mumma. He learnt both these duas in a span of 5 days... his pronunciation will improve InshaAllah but I am so proud of him that he knows the dua you recite before sleeping and the safar dua (which he needs a lot since we travel so much… just recited to him a few times and boom... he amazes me everyday and it's amazing what a memory these little humans have MashaAllah @izhaan.mirzamalik.”
Sania Mirza never misses an opportunity to update her fans about her baby boy through her social media handles. On August 21, 2020, Sania had taken to her IG handle and had shared a lovely video of Izhaan. In the video, she had shared a glimpse of the first Hyderabadi word spoken by her little one. Izhaan had looked adorable as he said the word nakko which meant ‘no’. On October 30, 2020, Izhaan Mirza Malik had turned 2 and to mark his birthday, his parents had posted heartfelt birthday wishes for him. Sania Mirza had posted a candid click of little Izhaan and a family picture and had poured her heart out in a long note, wishing him on his birthday. Sania had written, "Happy birthday to this boy who lights up my world, who is my world and who changed my world. We love you much, my baby boy. You give us so much unconditional love, happiness laughs and cuddles that it fills up our heart. May Allah guide you and give you everything you wish forever. We love you more than anything or anyone in this world. @izhaan.mirzamalik." Shoaib Malik had also taken to his IG handle and had shared a picture of his 'whole world' in one frame. In the picture, we could see Shoaib Malik sitting with his wife, Sania Mirza and their little goofball, Izhaan Mirza Malik posing for a perfect family click.
