Vikrant Massey had bagged a role opposite Deepika Padukone in a Meghna Gulzar film, Chhapaak, which is based on the story of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. As a treat to Vikrant and Sheetal’s fans, the former confirmed his intimate roka ceremony and spoke about their wedding plans. In an interview with Koimoi, Vikrant confirmed his roka with Sheetal and stated, "We will speak about this at the right time. Yes, we had a private ceremony at the house. Marriage is a topic we can talk later about." Speaking about working with Sheetal in his latest project, Vikrant shared that he channelizes his real-life emotions into many scenes which had helped him with his acting. He continued, "Her presence in my real life really benefitted her presence in my reel life."
In an interview with the Filmfare, Vikrant Massey had confirmed his relationship with Sheetal Thakur and revealing why he prefers coming back to a ‘regular home’, had stated, "We aren’t closeted about our personal lives just to create intrigue about us. You can see our pictures on our Instagram handles. I don’t talk about these things as I’m shy. I prefer coming back to a regular home like any other family. Coming back to reality from this glamorous, fragile, world of make-believe keeps me sane. Or I can be consumed by things and turn self-destructive at times." A few days back, Vikrant Massey had visited his girlfriend-turned-fiancée, Sheetal Thakur’s hometown, Himachal and had received a warm welcome from his soon-to-be in-laws. Sheetal had posted pictures of Vikrant, wearing a Himachali topi and shawl, posing with her family. Sheetal had captioned them as “Welcome home baby.”
On November 22, 2019, Sheetal Thakur had turned 27 and her doting boyfriend, Vikrant Massey had made sure to make it a special day for her. As a super-adorable birthday wish for her, Vikrant had written, "Happiest birthday Chintu! Thank you for coming into this world", followed by a heart emoji. A day later, Sheetal had posted pictures from her birthday celebrations, and with Vikrant’s gestures it is quite evident that he just couldn’t get over the birthday girl. In a throwback interview with TellyChakkar, Vikrant Massey had shared his views on marriage and had stated, “Very important. I completely believe in the institution of marriage as it is one of the most beautiful things that can happen to an individual.” Revealing his first crush, Vikrant had shared, “It was my class teacher when I was in class seven then.
