Vijay Varma and his ladylove, Tamannaah Bhatia are leading the headlines all over the place. For the unversed, the rumours of the lovebirds being in a relationship had sparked ever since a video of them having a passionate kiss at a New Year party had gone viral. However, it was just a few months back, when Tamannaah, during a promotional interview for her film, Lust Stories 2 had finally admitted to dating Vijay Varma. Moreover, Vijay also accepted his relationship in many of his interviews. And now, the latter reacts to whether his relationship was a publicity stunt or a reality.
In a recent interview with GQ India, Vijay Varma reacted to whether his openly proclaimed relationship with his Lust Stories 2 co-star, Tamannaah Bhatia has been a publicity stunt. Responding to it, he rubbished any such possibilities and added that he is madly in love with Tamannaah. Emphasising how it has kickstarted the romantic phase of his life, Vijay mentioned:
“I think it’s fairly understood now that we are dating each other. I am happy and madly in love with her. I call this my I’ve ended my villain era and gotten into the romance era phase of life.”

It was on June 17, 2023, when Vijay Varma finally admitted being in a relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia. In an interview with ETimes, he opened up on his personal life and highlighted how this new phase has brought a lot of love into his life. Moreover, he also revealed certain similar attributes between him and Tamannaah that had only added to bring them closer to one another. In his words:
“I’m just in a happy space right now where there’s a lot of love in my life. Both Tamannaah and I had an interesting journey. I am from Hyderabad and came to Mumbai for work, while she is from Mumbai and went to Hyderabad for work. So this is our trajectory… we both left our cities and moved to other cities for work.”
Vijay and Tamannaah’s real-life romance brewed while they worked on their first film together, Lust Stories 2. Interestingly, before pairing the two actors for the film, the filmmaker, Sujoy Ghosh had actually gotten their horoscopes matched with a pandit, as a result of which their love blossomed naturally.

In one of his earlier interviews with ETimes, Vijay Varma had opened up about the most annoying quality and habit of his girlfriend, Tamannaah Bhatia. He mentioned that the latter is a gym freak and is always obsessively thinking about working out. Vijay also added how there had been a few times when Tamannaah cut down on her required hours of sleep only to rush to the gym and get herself trained.
