Popular actress, Nayanthara has already made a name with her stellar acting skills in the South Indian film industry. Coming to her personal life, she is in a steady relationship with the director, Vignesh Shivan for quite some time now. For the unversed, the duo had fallen for each other when Nayanthara was playing the lead role in the film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, directed by Vignesh in 2016. Since then, the much-in-love couple never miss a chance to paint the town red with their mushy pictures and cute PDAs.
If media reports are to be believed, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara are all set to tie the knot in June 2022. They wanted to get married before the director would start filming his next movie, AK62. For the unversed, the film would be including Nayanthara and Ajith Kumar in the lead roles. However, the couple hasn't given any clarification about their rumoured wedding.

Amidst their wedding rumours, on April 28, 2022, Vignesh Shivan took to his IG handle and shared a few glimpses with his fiancee, Nayanthara from one of their shoots. In the first video, the much-in-love couple was seen having a small walk, as someone shot the moment from behind. Sharing the glimpses he penned a long note for her and thanked her for being his pillar of strength. Mentioning their previous film, Thangamey and Nayanthara's character 'Kanmani' in their latest released film, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, he wrote:
"Dear Thangamey and now Kanmani…thank you for being the pillar of strength in my life ! The pat on the back that u give me….! How much u r there for me!!!"
Further, in the note, Vignesh mentioned the times when he used to be clueless and felt low, it was Nayanthara who has stood strongly beside him and had helped him in taking decisions. He gave the complete credit for his film, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, to her and penned:
"Everytime I have been low and clueless in my life ! The way u have stood by me .. made me take decisions and how much u have been there for me as a companion .. all this makes me and this film complete! You are this film .. you are this success for me !!! Its all you and cos of you my Kanmani!"

Concluding the note, Vignesh threw light on how he felt after directing Nayanthara one more time in his life. He also mentioned the experience he had while working with her. Ending the note, he mentioned:
"Today to see you sparkle on screen .. #to direct you again and bring the best out of you! Makes me happy as a director :)) it’s always an heartwarming experience to wrk wit you! As We promised & planned we have made a good film and made an equally good character as solid as Kadambari! I hope u r happy with Kanmani too :) All love & thank you."
Earlier, on March 25, 2021, Vignesh had taken to his IG handle and had posted a picture of his girlfriend's hand placed on his chest. This picture had sparked rumours about the power couple's engagement as Nayanthara could be seen wearing a ring, which had looked like a wedding ring. Later, when Nayanthara was asked about the same in a Tamil talk show, hosted by Divya Dharshini, the actress had confirmed about her engagement with Vignesh. Nayanthara had said:
"It was my engagement ring. We are private people so we didn’t wish to have a grand ceremony. When we decide to get married, we will definitely inform everyone. Our engagement happened in the presence of close family members. We haven't decided on our wedding yet."
For the unversed, Nayanthara and Vignesh's film, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, had hit the theatres on April 28, 2022.
