The man of the hour, Vicky Kaushal has made everyone swoon over him for his stellar performances in Masaan, Sanju, Raazi, Manmarziyaan and now his latest release, Uri: The Surgical Strike. But when the news of the eligible bachelor of B-town, Vicky Kaushal dating a popular television actress and host, Harleen Sethi, started doing the rounds on the internet in 2018, it broke millions of hearts. Vicky Kaushal and his rumoured muse-cum-television actress, Harleen Sethi are often spotted together at lunch/dinner dates and the former has also dropped hints about his relationship on celebrity chat shows, Koffee With Karan Season 6 and No Filter Neha Season 3. Though Vicky and Harleen have never confirmed their relationship, it looks like they have taken a step forward and made their love ‘Insta-official’ on January 17, 2019.
Harleen Sethi uploaded a photo from the success bash of Uri: The Surgical Strike, wherein she can be seen twinning with Vicky Kaushal, in black sweatshirts with, "How's the Josh", a dialogue from the film, imprinted on it. Harleen captioned the photo, "High Sir! #URI".
On Koffee With Karan Season 6, Vicky Kaushal appeared with another rising star of 2018, Ayushmann Khurrana and he was asked by the host Karan Johar if he is in a relationship. To which, Vicky just nodded, indicating he is in a relationship. When asked for more details, his one-liner answer said it all. Vicky had said, “Let's see what happens. It's new.” And we bet, this definitely shattered a million of hearts!
On January 11, 2019, a special screening for the film, Uri: The Surgical Strike was organised in Mumbai. From Ishaan Khatter, Bhagyashree, Radhika Madan, Abhishek Kapoor and wife Pragya, Saqib Saleem, Suniel Shetty, Siddharth Roy Kapur to the star cast of the film, Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Kriti Kulhari, attended the screening. Apart from them, Vicky’s family, including father and stuntman, Raj Kaushal, mother and brother accompanied the actor. Vicky’s rumoured girlfriend, Harleen Sethi was also snapped at the screening.
In an interview with MensXP, Harleen dropped every possible hint about her relationship with Vicky and had stated, “We share a good bond, there is a kind of comfort level we have that is wonderful.” In yet another interview with SpotboyE, she had shared, “I just want to say that we share a very good comfort level. And we are getting to know each other. Par usse aage kuch nahi bolna chahungi main.” Sharing her idea of what love is, Harleen told Indian Express, "I believe love can happen twice, thrice and any number of times. A few months ago, Vicky’s ‘not so rumoured anymore’ girlfriend was last seen in Alt Balaji’s web series, Broken But Beautiful, opposite Vikrant Massey. Vicky shared an Instagram story, wherein one could see a poster of Vikrant and Harleen’s web series, with the words “mere do anmol ratan” atop the picture. Here is the screenshot of the same:
Speaking about a bad breakup years back, which compelled him to turn to a poet, Vicky shared his story on a chat show. Vicky stated, “I think it is the only time when I turned into a poet. Every break-up story is great, you start hearing sad songs. Chalo ek baar fir se hum ajnabeei banjaye..”
Speaking about relationships, the Manmarziyaan actor had told Indian Express, “I don’t believe in a relationship of convenience, personally. I am an introvert, not that much now after getting into acting, but in a relationship sense. I believe in becoming friends first and in knowing each other. It is a very old school way of getting into a relationship, even if it is a love at first sight. Relationship of convenience has never happened to me, so I cannot talk much about it. In the film, we have explored both – negative and positive side – of being in such a relationship.”
When asked about his wedding plans, Vicky replied, “Well, I have asked my parents for 3-4 years. I am just 29 after all and have a career to make. But I feel very positive about the institution of marriage. Laddu abhi khaya nahi phir bhi laddu toh laddu hi lagega. But I feel it always work as a strength to have a companion in life who you can depend on. I like the thought of it. Jab Shaadi karunga tab ek aur interview karunga and I will tell you if marriage is La La Land”.
