Vicky Jain and Ankita Lokhande have been the most talked about contestants of the seventeenth season of Bigg Boss. However, it was Ankita's mother-in-law, Ranjana Sethi, who also made headlines for her mean remarks against the actress in the media. It came as a shock to the millions of fan followers of Ankita, and she even got called out by Karan Johar and Salman Khan for passing mean comments and clearly stating how she was unhappy with Vicky marrying Ankita.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Vicky Jain talked about his mother, Ranjana Jain's comments for Ankita Lokhande. He shared that they had a communication gap between their parents. He added that the way Ankita threw slippers at him was their fun banter, but their family took it the wrong way as it happened on national television, which they could have avoided. He was quoted as saying:
"I totally agree that there was a communication gap between our parents and us because we were on the show. So when things like Ankita throwing slippers at me happened it was in a fun way. Ankita and I do a lot of masti with each other. But I knew deep down that these things should not happen on national television and I tried to communicate with Ankita in my way of humour that there is life beyond this and be careful, iske baad ghar par bhi jaana hai."

Vicky further added that he had sorted everything with his family after coming out of the show. He further added that everything was fine between them. After coming out, whatever communication was required, I have already. I spoke to them, and everything is fine with them.
In last week's episode, Salman Khan took a class with Vicky Jain's mother, Ranjana Jain, who said she wasn't in favour of their marriage. The Bigg Boss team invited members from the finalists' families to answer on behalf of their crimes on the show. From Vicky's side, his sister-in-law, Reshu Jain, attended the show. Salman questioned why his mother didn't appear, to which Reshu stated that she was unwell and had been keeping a fast. Salman took note of the 'fast' thing and joked that 'hunger' might be the reason for her remarks in the media.
Further in the episode, Vicky's bhabhi, Reshu,, revealed that relatives were calling their parents to discusse couple's ugly fights on the show. Salman criticised the behaviour and stated that such people should be removed from one's life. He added that they are jealous and poking the mother-in-law. Salman further stated how no one knows Vicky's family, while even kids know about Ankita Lokhande. Salman was quoted as saying:
"They are jealous, they are poking your mother-in-law and she is getting poked. If they say how Ankita entered such a 'big family', does she belong to a smaller family? Aapke parivaar ko koi nhi jaanta tha, Bilaspur mein koi nhi janta tha. Isko Hindustan mein bachcha bachcha janta hai.
