Varun Dhawan is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. He rules over millions of hearts, courtesy of amazing acting skills and a pleasant personality. Recently, the actor was caught in a controversy after he kissed the supermodel, Gigi Hadid, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural centre. And now, Varun has reacted to the same and slammed the haters who trolled him without knowing the full story.
On April 2, 2023, Varun Dhawan took to his Twitter handle and slammed the trollers for questioning his intentions over kissing the supermodel, Gigi Hadid at the NMACC launch party. Reacting to the mean comments of the haters, the actor revealed that everything that happened on the stage was pre-planned. He also asked the trollers to find some other topic to vent out their anger rather than pointing out something without knowing the backstory. In his words:
"I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather than going out and doing something about things. Good morning."

On April 1, 2023, the Ambani family had hosted a grand party after the main event on the occasion of the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The after-party was attended by several Bollywood and Hollywood stars, including the supermodel, Gigi Hadid. In a video from the event that went viral on the internet, B-town actor, Varun was seen lifting Gigi in his arms and planting a kiss on her cheeks amidst his dance performance. For his dance performance, Varun opted for a shimmery sleeveless shirt and teamed it with black pants. On the other hand, Gigi looked beautiful in an ivory-hued saree which she teamed with a golden metallic blouse.

However, as soon as, the video went viral, netizens slammed Varun for his actions and called him 'Cringe'. One of the internet users had written, "Cheap and creepy behavious." Another one commented, "Its a harassment. @gigihadid would think twice before coming to here." One more took to the comment section and wrote: "Dragging her to the stage firstly, lifting her and kissing without her consent...Even he couldn't lift her comfortable...Such kind of people bring embarrassment to India..."

In April 2021, a massive fire broke out at Longliang Village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district. And Varun Dhawan and his wife, Natasha Dalal had donated the amount of one lakh to the victims as relief assistance. However, this didn't go well with the social media users, who ended up trolling the actor for donating 'only' on lakh when he could afford more.
