On May 29, 2018, Varun’s brother, Rohit Dhawan and his sister-in-law, Jaanvi Desai Dhawan became proud parents to a baby girl. Elated chachu, Varun was spotted with his girlfriend, Natasha as they visited the hospital to meet his newborn niece. While Varun kept it casual and comfy in a white henley with red track pants and slippers, his lady-love Natasha opted for a white tee which she paired with olive green harem pants, flats and a Louis Vuitton purse.
The baby and the newbie mother are still in the hospital but will soon get discharged. The big celebration is due to mark the happy occasion, but Varun has planned a great surprise to welcome his bhabhi and niece. For the grand welcome, Varun has put a star-shaped helium balloon on which, “Welcome Baby Girl” is written. Varun shared the picture on his Instagram story. In an earlier interview, Varun shared how much he loves kids and was quoted as saying, "Yes, I want to get married. I am 29 now and I want to have babies real soon. I love babies and want to have my own. So yeah, very soon. I have always been a firm believer of marriage because my mom and dad's relationship has been strong for so many years so I have seen that side to marriage only." For the uninitiated ones, Natasha is a well-known designer from the industry. Natasha and Varun are childhood friends and they started dating a long-time ago, when Varun was not even an actor. Talking about her, Varun stated, "She is a normal girl, she is a normal kid. She wants to live a normal life and it is my job to protect her." He further added, “I see it reaching a good place. She's quite a handful so full credit to her for sticking by me. When asked him if he is fine getting snapped with Natasha by the paparazzi, Varun remarked, “I am cool about it. In fact, I have always been cool about it. There is nothing to hide. I just don't want the focus to shift from my career to the relationship. That's why I don't talk much about it.” And further continued, “What can one say about spending time with loved ones? I'm not denying anything at all, just that I don't like to discuss it.”
