On September 13, 2022, Mohsin Akhtar took to his Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture with a baby, who can be seen sitting on his lap. In the picture, Mohsin can be seen holding the adorable baby girl close to his chest, and the frame is simply too cute to be missed. In the photo, Mohsin looked handsome in a black tracksuit and a black cap, which he had worn in the backward style. As soon as Mohsin Akhtar posted the picture on his Instagram handle, tons of comments, media reports, and reports started speculating that Mohsin and his wife, Urmila Matondkar, were blessed with a baby girl. Much credit for the speculation goes to Mohsin's caption, in which he skipped mentioning that the baby girl in the picture isn't his own but instead his brother's daughter. The doting husband edited his caption after everyone started asking him and Urmila whether the adorable baby belonged to them or not. The updated caption can be read as:
"Wow, little princess, your reign over the kingdom of my dear heart has reached a full year and it's been exciting. Happiest 1st Birthday my little princess Aira. My gorgeous niece Aira."

Once in an interview with The Times Of India, Urmila Matondkar had talked about the prospects of embracing motherhood. Answering the much-asked question, the ever-so-gorgeous actress had stated that she was looking forward to welcoming it. However, the actress refuted confirming some time as she hinted towards going with the flow. Further in her statement, she also shared her views about adoption and IVF. She had said:
"Yes and no. If it happens, it happens. I'm not looking forward to it nor am I 'not looking forward' to it. It's not necessary for every woman to be a mother. Motherhood should happen for the right reason. I love children. But there are so many children out there who need our love and care. It's not necessary that they be born from you."
On the professional front, Urmila Matondkar is currently seen as one of the judges on the dance reality show, DID Super Moms.
