The Deol family has been bustling with joy ever since its most-loved member, Karan Deol tied the knot with his long-time sweetheart, Drisha Acharya. Their wedding was an epitome of the great big fat Indian wedding and glimpses from all the wedding festivities have become an internet sensation for quite some time. And now, we recently stumbled upon a special glimpse of Dharmendra from the same, wherein he was spotted flaunting his creativity.
In a recent video shared by the talented actor, Anupam Kher on his IG handle, Dharmendra can be seen gracing his grandson, Karan Deol’s wedding, whilst he recited his self-composed poetry. Along with the video, Anupam penned a long note in Devnaagri, where he mentioned that he and his colleague, Raj Babbar were the first ones to grace Karan Deol’s wedding, when they requested Dharmendra for his permission to shoot him reciting the poem. Moreover, he also expressed how deep and profound Dharmendra’s words were, as it made everyone nostalgic about the past. In his words:
“Hum jab bade ho jaate hai, umr mein ya rutbe mein, toh apne chode hue ghar ki bohot yaad aati hai. Uss ghar ki jaha humne apna bachpan guzara hota hai. Uss din mere dost, Sunny Deol ke bete, Karan Deol ki shaadi mein kuch jaldi pohoch gaya to Dharam ji ke saath waqt guzaarne ka mauka mila. Dharam ji apni likhi hui nazm ki kuch liney gunguna rahe the, jo mere aur Raj Babbar ji ke dilon ki gehraai ko chuh rahe they. Mere bohot kehne pe wo yeh nazm record karne ko raazi huye. Aap bhi suniye. Aapko bhi apna maazi, apna bachpan, apna ghar aur apni maa bohot yaad ayegi.”

A few days back, we came across some memorable pictures of Dharmendra and his first wife, Prakash Kaur attending their grandson, Karan Deol’s wedding. The duo looked lovely together as they were happy attending such an important day for their darling pota, Karan. In the first picture, Prakash and Dharmendra could be seen in the middle of a conversation where Dharmendra gave a cheers with his glass of wine, and Prakash Kaur happily looked at him. In the next snap, the duo could be seen standing behind the newlyweds, Karan and Drisha as they blessed them on their nuptials.
The rumours about Karan Deol tying the knot with his ladylove, Drisha Acharya had been circulating in Tinseltown for a long time, and it was not testified by any member of the Deol family. However, it was Dharmendra, who, for the first time had confirmed his grandson’s wedding. Moreover, he had also heaped praises on the latter and recalled his first interaction with the would-be Deol bahu. In an interview with ETimes, Dharmendra was quoted as saying:
"A marriage in the family after a long time. Karan is a very good boy. He is a very caring person. Bahut acha lag raha hai that he has found his partner. I met Drisha. The meeting happened at my house. She is a very sensible and pretty girl. And, she comes from an illustrious family. I am very happy for Karan and Drisha. They have all my blessings. I welcome the new addition to the Deol family."

Karan Deol’s wedding festivities were a blast and involved a lot of fun and frolic. However, what grabbed everyone’s attention was the way in which his doting grandfather, Dharmendra enjoyed every bit of his grandson’s special day. Proof of the same was found in a video where Dharmendra and Karan were spotted grooving to the tunes of the former’s iconic song, Yamla Pagla Deewana. Their bonding surely melts everyone’s hearts.
