Disney’s favourite star, Sheena Bajaj got married to the man of her dreams, Rohit Purohit, on January 22, 2019, in a big fat Indian wedding. Their relationship had hit rock bottom multiple times before their marriage, with one unfollowing the other from their social media handles and deleting all their couple pictures. But as they say, perseverance bears fruit and truly, that is the story of one of the most loved couples of the telly town, Sheena Bajaj and Rohit Purohit. Following Punjabi-Marwari wedding rituals, Sheena got married to her long-time beau, Rohit after overcoming tumults of problems in their relationship. Theirs was a big fat wedding ceremony, with the pre-wedding festivities kick-starting a day before. And now, hardly a week after their wedding, Sheena and Rohit are often seen sharing beautiful pictures from their shaadi moments. Sharing a picture wherein, you will spot smiling faces all around Sheena from her haldi and mehendi, the newbie wife captioned the picture as, “Happy faces. So much happiness all around ....#bridegoals ...Such a bliss to c everyone around me so happy and crazy. Their love has made my heart so warm. And then came a series of unseen pictures posted by Sheena from her engagement ceremony. Donned in a lavender lehenga and Rohit in a white tuxedo suit, this couple looked a million dollars! Sharing pictures from her engagement and a couple of videos from her varmala ceremony, the Best Of Luck Nikki star captioned the pictures and videos as, “After 6 years of dating finally engaged to u ....can’t forget the grand royal celebration for 2 days so happy! What a massive celebration of 2 cultures n 2 families “yajna hom shashthe vacho vadet” ‘I will always be by your side’ may it be scooter, cycle, bus, train or walking on road. I swear @rohitpurohit08.” The next two pictures from her engagement were captioned as, “Celebration be like.” Sheena had also shared a one-of-a-kind picture in her Instagram story, wherein, she is seen bending down on her knees (just like Rohit did for her) and putting a ring on his finger! So dreamy, isn’t it? Also, do you know, breaking all stereotypes, it was Sheena who had proposed to Rohit, and not the other way round? In an interview, she had shared, “We met on the set of Arjun and I developed a liking for him. We stayed in touch even after the show went off air and started dating six months later. I proposed to Rohit, as he is not the kind to confess his feelings. I went with flowers, chocolates and a cake and told him that I want to see him every day of my life. Only two days ago, we shared with you a picture of Sheena donning her newbie bridal avatar at her very best! Making the most of her newly-wedded phase, the Mariam Khan – Reporting Live actress and was seen looking resplendent in a red sharara, chooda, sindoor, red bindi and a dapper sunglass. Earlier confirming the news of her wedding with Rohit Purohit and revealing their pre-wedding plans, Sheena Bajaj shared with The Times of India, "The Wedding is on the 22nd and the pre-wedding functions, including mehndi, haldi, sangeet and engagement, will be held on the previous day. All functions will be held in Jaipur.” Rohit had further added, “We plan to follow both the traditions- Marwari and Punjabi."
Sheena is 24, and Rohit is 29. Did their age-gap pose a hindrance for their wedding? Rohit had answered in an interview, “The age factor doesn’t really matter. In fact, in my case, my parents felt that I was ready for marriage when I turned 22. So, in that sense, I am already late (laughs!). Sheena and I have been together for five years and it felt right to take the plunge.” About their honeymoon plans, Rohit went on to reveal, “As a couple, we don’t plan anything.
