But his recent win in a special parliamentary election has made his dream come true as he is going to be the next prime minister of the UK. He is known for his charisma and his communication skills. While people are searching more about him, they also want to know about his wife, Marie France Van Heel.
Andy Burnham is married to Dutch-born Marie-France Vane Heel, also known as Frankie. She hailed from Belgium and later moved to the UK for further studies. It was during her education at the university that she met Andy Burnham. The two studied together at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. Talking about her profession, she started her journey as a brand consultant a long time ago.

Later, she worked for BSkyB as a brand consultant for most of her career, and she later started her own firm, MVH Marketing, which was dissolved in 2011 after three years. Later, she worked as the CEO of the London-based firm Heavenly, which is known for designing logos for clients including HSBC, England Rugby and the BBC.
Currently, she is working for Manchester-based public electric vehicle charging network Be.EV, and is also the Chief Marketing and Customer Officer of Octopus Energy Generation. Marie-France is also known for her charity work and has raised funds for Marie Curie, The Alzheimer's Society and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Andy once talked about his wife's business ventures and revealed that she runs her own business and has a lot of experience working in the private sector.
Andy Burnham and Marie-France Van Heel got married in 2000, and they are blessed with three children, one son and two daughters. They have lived a happy life away from controversy, but in 2010, the family faced a big scare when Marie was diagnosed with the breast cancer gene known as BRCA1, after her three family members died due to it, which also included her sister, Claire, who was just 39. Marie made the decision to undergo a double mastectomy to keep herself away from the risk of breast cancer.
Later, in 2012, Andy talked about his wife's journey, and he called the decision extremely hard, but it liberated them. He didn't call it a depressing time, as it has lifted the cloud of fear. He stated that she had seen her sister and mother go through devastating times due to breast cancer, so it was an important decision for her. He said:

"As hard as it was to take, the decision was liberating rather than depressing because it's lifted the cloud of fear. She did what she did because she'd seen the devastation breast cancer had caused to her sisters and mother. We more than most know what could have happened and we had to find a way to get beyond it."

In 1992, Marie appeared on a show while she was studying at Cambridge University. She took permission from her then-boyfriend, Andy, to go on the show, where she had dated a man called Will Harris. However, things didn't go well, and they kept arguing, and Frankie even told Will to try to look attractive. But he called her a 'cold fish'.
