There is no denying the fact that Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna make one of the most stylish and funniest couples from the tinsel town. Most of the time, the happily married couple is found at their quirkiest best and this is what their fans love the most about them. Twinkle Khanna and Akshay kumar walked down the aisle on January 17, 2001. And ever since the two have been outlaying couple goals to other duos out there. One would hardly see them indulging in social media PDA, but their love for each other has been quite evident in their media interactions despite teasing each other on air.
A video from the recently held HT India’s Most Stylish Awards show is doing the rounds and have gone viral on the internet. This is yet another video that shows how fun-loving this couple is! After the ceremony got over, Twinkle and Akshay were asked about their take on winning the Most Stylish Author and HT Hottest Trendsetter (Male) awards, respectively. While Akshay was quoted as saying, “Ji, bahut accha lagta hai jab aisa koi important aur stylish award milta hai aapko toh bahut accha lagta hai (It feels very good when you receive an important and stylish award.),” Twinkle, on the other hand, teased Akshay and said, “Why are you giving a speech like you are pradhan mantri?”
When asked how much Twinkle influences his styles, Akshay said 100%. Twinkle disagreed saying, “Not at all. He has more shoes than me. He’s got pants pink, green, lilac, dark purple, yellow.” To which, Akshay said, “Didn’t you tell me to buy that?” And Twinkle replied, “I did but I didn’t tell you to buy the whole rainbow.”
Further asking one of Akshay’s team member, Twinkle said how many shoes he has, and then, instantly guessing it, she said he has at least 350 pairs. To which, Akshay interrupted and was quoted as saying, “No, no. Tina! The two were then asked to reveal who takes longer to get ready. Twinkle said, “I do. He is very quick but he also has a room that is dedicated to his clothes. It is altered to his fashion sense. He has got 11 people who help him get ready, I have no one. So yeah, I do take a bit longer but in the circumstances it is understandable.”
Twinkle then went on to reveal the one thing that Akshay wears that she doesn't approve of. She said, "Track pants and hoodies. The last time I wanted him to get rid of one, I actually had to cut it. "Akshay confirmed the same, saying, "She actually doesn't like my track pants and hoodies but I try to make her understand that I feel very comfortable and at home because mera kaam he saara din bhagna, kudna ka hai. So I prefer wearing a track pant and a hoodie." He added, "I feel nice in a hoodie kyuki I feel very khula khula."
In an interview earlier, Twinkle had revealed the two things Akshay has told her never to do. In one of his interviews with Filmfare, he spoke about how Twinkle has always been a source of strength for him. He had shared, “Twinkle has not only added to my wardrobe but also to my bank balance. I was a scattered person; she is the one who has put me together. After marriage, she has kind of raised me (Laughs). On a serious note, whenever I’ve broken down she’s given me emotional support.”
In yet another interview, he was all-praises for his doting wifey and had shared, "Tina (Twinkle) is my best friend. My wife is the best person any man could wish to wake up next to. She holds me up when I’m falling, and puts me down when I’m flying. She makes me laugh when I’m sad, and moans when I am sitting idle. Tina is everything for me. She is my reality check."
