The thriller received mixed reviews from critics and the audience and failed to perform well at the box office. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 20 crores, the survival thriller grossed Rs. 8.49 crore in India. Shanaya Kapoor is the female lead and Adarsh Gourav is the male lead in the survival thriller, Tu Yaa Main. Shanaya stepped into the shoes of the character, 'Miss Vanity', a.k.a 'Avani', while Adarsh played the role of 'Aala Flowpara', a.k.a 'Maruti'. Both of them share the same profession, but their backgrounds are very different.

While 'Avani' hails from a rich family and has more than 2 million followers, 'Maruti' resides in a chawl and has just around 6000 followers on social media. In fact, in real life as well, the female and male leads’ cast salary showed a stark difference. According to a report by Flick on Click, Shanaya allegedly took home Rs. 3 crore for her role, whereas Adarsh allegedly earned Rs. 1.5 crore.

How much did the other cast members earn for their roles in the film, Tu Yaa Main?

Alongside Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav, Tu Yaa Main also stars Mona Singh, Parul Gulati, Siddharth Sibal and more in supporting roles. According to the report by Flick on Click, Mona allegedly earned Rs. 40 to Rs. 80 lakh for her role, Parul Gulati reportedly took home Rs. 20 to Rs. 40 lakh, and Siddharth Shibal allegedly bagged a pay cheque of Rs. 5 to Rs. 20 lakh.

What to expect in the film, Tu Yaa Main?

The story of Tu Yaa Main revolves around two main characters, 'Avani' and 'Maruti'. Both are content creators, but their social status is opposite. However, the meeting at a concert changes the duo’s lives. They began to collaborate on various content. Soon, love blossomed between them. Everything was going well until 'Avani' found out that she is pregnant. Hearing this, 'Maruti' is totally baffled and is unable to process the whole thing. He is not ready to become a father as he is not financially stable. After multiple arguments, they decide to go on a trip to Goa.

However, on the way to Goa, they face a lot of hurdles and end up staying in an old hotel. Things turn chaotic when 'Avani' accidentally falls into a deep pool and the water gets drained out. The situation gets dangerous for 'Avani' after a crocodile from a nearby water source enters the hotel area through the drainage system. The ferocious reptile first kills the hotel caretaker and the delivery boy. Then it enters the deep pool where 'Avani' is stuck. Seeing 'Avani' in danger, 'Maruti' jumps into the pool only to get trapped.

But things go out of hand when another crocodile enters the swimming pool. Meanwhile, 'Avani' caught hold of the caretaker’s phone. She quickly dials 'Inspector Tawde's' number and calls for help. Soon after reaching the spot, 'Inspector Tawde' gets killed by the ferocious reptile. After seeing this, 'Avani' and 'Maruti' realise that they need to find a way out of this. As the survival thriller reaches its climax, the female lead catches hold of a gun and shoots the crocodiles. While 'Maruti' gets attacked by the dangerous reptiles, 'Avani' comes to his rescue. The thriller ends on a happy note, where the duo finally survives the danger.
