Trisha Krishnan Once Praised Vijay Thalapathy And Made Startling Comment About Him, 'He Deserves..'

Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Thalapathy have been making headlines with their affair buzz. The couple has been linked to each other for several years, but they both denied the claims and tagged each other as their 'just friends'. Well, it was a week ago, when again, the couple's dating buzz started hitting the headlines, given that Vijay's wife, Sangeetha, filed for a divorce from him, after more than two decades of their marriage.

Trisha Krishnan's past comment about Vijay Thalapathy surfaces

For the unversed, Vijay got married to Sangeetha in 1999, and in February 2026, she filed for a divorce from him, citing her partner's cheating. While this is the main controversy against the actor, his past link-up with Trisha also made headlines. Trisha and Vijay have collaborated on several projects, and one of her statements about him made the headlines. It was last year when Trish Krishnan attended the South Indian International Movie Awards in Dubai. The actress was awarded for her contribution to the industry.

During her acceptance speech, she took Vijay's name and said that she would like to wish him on his new journey while wishing that he can bring every dream to the real field, as she thinks he deserves it. Amid the allegations against Vijay being involved with an actress, the claim also started resurfacing. For the unversed, as Trisha and Vijay's past link-up hit the headlines amid his divorce buzz, the couple was recently spotted attending Kalpathi Suresh's son's wedding, which left people wondering if the duo just put a 'nod' to the speculations about their dating. Trisha could be quoted as saying:

“I would like to tell him good luck on his new journey. Whatever he dreams, may they come true because he deserves it."

For the unversed,  Sangeetha Sornalingam was a fan of Vijay. And her love story was all about a fan falling for her favourite actor, living at home to meet him, building a bond with him and getting married. In the late 1990s, Sangeetha reportedly left her home in the UK to meet her favourite actor, Thalapathy Vijay. If the reports are to be believed, the couple fell in love with each other following their meet-up, and they eventually got married in 1999. In the following years, they welcomed two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha. The couple had been together for almost three decades and supported each other through everything.

It has recently happened that Sangeetha reportedly filed for a divorce, citing infidelity. She, reportedly in the plea, revealed that her husband, even after reassuring her, kept on with his affair with an actress. As per the data on the alleged plea, it was Sangeetha, who found out about the cheating and realised that the actor emotionally pulled back from her.

Sangeetha also reportedly claimed that she was being subjected to 'verbal disdain' and constructive desertion, while alleging that separately from Vijay. In the plea, she asked for permanent alimony, as reported, and she doesn't want to reconcile. Vijay hasn't made any comment about the same just yet, but he has been targeted. Trisha and Vijay's recent appearance heated up the situation more intensely. To mention, it all began with Trisha's birthday post for Vijay, where she called them 'storm to calm' for each other.
