The much-awaited Kannada action movie, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, produced by none other than Rocking Star, Yash and Venkat K. Narayan, is out with its trailer, and it has blown everyone’s mind. The film is billed as the biggest blockbuster of 2026 and is set to hit theatres on March 19, 2026. As the trailer was released recently, people couldn’t contain their excitement. Let us look at the stellar cast of Toxic and the substantial salaries they were paid.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and written by Yash, the high-octane drama is produced on an impressive budget of Rs. 300-600 crore. The film stars actor, Yash as ‘Raya’ in the lead role and his charismatic presence has only added to the charm of the film. For his role in Toxic, Yash was paid a whopping sum of Rs. 50 crores.
Kiara Advani plays the female lead in Yash’s Toxic, and for her role in the film, the actress has substantially increased her salary. Kiara, who stars as ‘Nadia’ in the film, shared in an Instagram note that Toxic was one of the toughest roles of her career. Kiara reportedly charged a 114 per cent hike and was paid Rs. 15 crore. Her salary for Toxic was more than the fee charged by South superstar, Nayanthara.

The much-anticipated film, Toxic, also stars South sensation Nayanthara. The Lady Superstar, Nayanthara, was cast as ‘Ganga’, another pivotal character in the film. The first look of Nayanthara showed her in a fierce avatar, holding a shotgun. As per the director, Geetu Mohandas, the audience will see Nayanthara in a completely different avatar, a talent that has been quietly waiting to explode. She was reportedly paid between Rs. 12 crores and Rs. 18 crores.

Rukmini Vasanth stars in Toxic as ‘Mellisa’, adding a stylish narrative to the storyline. Her poised yet commanding presence adds layers to her character. In the chaos of the high-octane drama, Rukmini is a visual delight. She was reportedly paid between Rs. 3 crores and Rs. 5 crores.
Huma Qureshi’s character was introduced as ‘Elizabeth’. She carried gothic undertones and quiet menace in her first look. Huma's character is defined by restraint, as she appears fierce. In her first look, the actress wore a sculpted black outfit beside a vintage car amid gravestones. As per multiple reports, Huma was paid approximately Rs. 2 crores to Rs. 3 crores.
Tara Sutaria was unveiled as ‘Rebecca’, a glamorous yet dangerous presence, captured with a gun in hand. Her character is described as ‘desirable and elegant’; however, she wields power. Her first appearance presents a vivid retro look with a side-swept bob. For her appearance in Toxic, Tara Sutaria reportedly received a salary of Rs. 2 crores to Rs. 3 crores.

Apart from these stunning celebs, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups will also star Samyuktha Menon, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Tovino Thomas, Darrell D’Silva, Natalie Burn, Benedict Garrett, and Kyle Paul.
Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, Toxic will be released with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages. The technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer, TP Abid. Action sequences are choreographed by JJ Perry, Anbariv, and Kecha Khamphakdee.
