New details have emerged surrounding the death of Erin Benavides, the woman who was once accused of having an affair with Eva Longoria's ex-husband, Tony Parker. According to police reports obtained by Page Six, investigators documented three firearms following the 54-year-old former prosecutor's death. For those who are not aware, Erin Benavides was found dead at her Port Aransas, Texas, home on October 14, 2026.
Police also documented multiple bullets found on the scene. The report further revealed that the authorities were called at approximately 7:08 p.m. by someone claiming that a woman had threatened to take her own life. According to reports, police arrived at Erin Benavides' home after a friend of her husband received an alarming text message from her.
Officers forced their way inside the residence and found Erin Benavides on the floor with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Initial reports suggested that the authorities didn't find any evidence suggesting foul play. However, the recent findings have added to the tragedy. In a previous statement to the publication, the Port Aransas Police Department confirmed that officers responded to a welfare concern at approximately 7:34 p.m. on October 14, 2026.
At the time, the Port Aransas Police Department issued a statement sharing that the coroner's office was yet to respond to the scene and determine the cause or manner of her death. The statement extended condolences to Erin Benavides' family and were quoted as saying:
"Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female inside the residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for determining the official cause and manner of death. Based on the preliminary investigation, no foul play is suspected. However, this remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Port Aransas Police Department extends its condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Benavides."
