For the unversed, Vignesh is also an ace director in the Tollywood industry. And it was in the year 2016, when the actress was playing a lead role in one of his directorial films, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, that she had met him for the first time.

Recently, there have been rumours about the duo's wedding in June 2022. However, both Nayanthara and Vignesh have been tight-lipped about the matter. And now, a source close to the much-in-love couple opened up about the duo's wedding plans.

A recent report by Pinkvilla suggested that the power couple of Tollywood, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan would marry on June 9, 2022, at Tirumala Tirupati temple. A source close to the couple revealed that their wedding would be an intimate affair. However, Nayanthara and Vignesh would also hold a grand wedding party for their friends from the entertainment industry in Chennai. The source can be quoted as saying:
"It is going to be an intimate affair in presence of their family members. Initially, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan planned for a destination wedding, but due to multiple reasons, they had to cancel it. While the wedding will be attended only by their family members, the couple will host a grand wedding party for their industry friends in Chennai. Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi are expected to attend. It is going to be as grand as possible."
On October 21, 2021, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had completed six years of togetherness. To mark the special occasion, Vignesh had taken to his IG handle and had shared some unseen pictures with his ladylove. Along with it, he had penned a cutesy note for her that could be read as:
"Doesn’t feel like 6 years! #kaathuvaakula silla moments of #naanumrowdydhaan to share wit ya’ll."

For the unversed, the power couple, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are already engaged. On March 25, 2021, Vignesh had taken to his IG handle and had posted a picture of his ladylove's hand placed on his chest. However, Nayanthara's huge wedding ring had caught our attention. He had captioned the picture in Tamil, which could be read as, "Viralodu uyir kooda korthu", which upon translating to English stands, "Tied my lifeline to my fingers."
