Sridevi has always been the queen of stardom, irrespective of the different regional film industries she has worked in. The actor has created an unparalleled mark in the film industry, something which would be hard to achieve by anyone. And so, even after her untimely demise on February 24, 2018, the world still grieves the loss of an impeccable talent, whose absence from the silver screen is profound.
The year 2018 has been the hardest for Boney Kapoor and his daughters, Janhvi and Khushi who had to bear the heavy grief of the sudden passing away of Sridevi. The news came as a shock for nearly everyone in Bollywood, and more so for late Sridevi’s massive fanbase. But gradually with time, everyone started to process through it and stood strong for the family. While many of the actress’ friends did something or the other to keep Sridevi’s memory alive in them, one of her other best friends, Tina Ambani presented Boney Kapoor with a unique gift that left him teary-eyed.

Well, Sridevi and Tina shared a beautiful bond and the proof of the same was found in the pictures where the duo was spotted having a gala time with one another at various parties. Post Sridevi’s death, a heartbroken Tina had presented Boney Kapoor with a silver photo frame that consisted of all the special moments Sridevi spent at Tina’s 61st birthday bash, which unfortunately turned out to be the actress’ last attended event in Mumbai. A source closer to the Kapoors described the gift as:
“Tina has gifted a gorgeous silver frame of Sridevi’s candid picture that was clicked during her 61st birthday bash. Who knew it would turn out to become Sridevi’s last get together in Mumbai. Boney was really touched when he saw the picture. He couldn’t hold back his tears and thanked Tina for bringing back some sweet memories.”
Life is uncertain and the same was proven manifold when the news about Sridevi’s death shook the nation. Many people could not believe the fact, since only a week back the actress was spotted enjoying a memorable evening at Tina Ambani’s 61st birthday bash on February 11, 2018. The actress looked mesmerising as ever as she donned a red-hued off-shoulder sequinned co-ord set from the label, Falguni Shane Peacock. She had completed her look with subtle makeup, bold red lips and open tresses.

The loss of a mother is irreplaceable and Janhvi Kapoor has been such a persona who has been able to process her life through such pain. She happened to be all the more heartbroken since she had always desired her mother to see her debut film, Dhadak which released nearly 3 months after her death. In an interview with Karan Johar, Janhvi had later revealed the last conversation she had with her mother, before she jetted off to Dubai for attending the event. In her words:
“The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, I need you to come and put me to sleep. But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head".
Throughout their marital life, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi have always remained head-over-heels in love with one another. Apart from spending some quality time together with their families, the duo was also fond of travelling to lots of places together. On February 25, 2022, Boney Kapoor celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary post Sridevi’s demise. As the day was quite a memorable one, the producer had shared a picture of the couple’s most memorable time while travelling in Venice. However, it was his caption which strung a chord in the hearts, since he wrote about one of his deepest regrets. In his words:
“We drove from Milan to Venice on 7th September 2008 & spent just a few hours in the city , we had made plans of visiting Venice again for longer stay but destiny denied our plans ……….”
