Golfer, Tiger Woods is reportedly set to return to his home soon. The professional golfer was undergoing treatment in Switzerland following his DUI arrest. For the unversed, Tiger was involved in a car crash, leading to his DUI arrest on March 27, 2026. Earlier, this year, in April 2026, Tiger announced that he was stepping away from his career to focus on his health. A few days back, he briefly returned to Florida as his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, announced her breast cancer diagnosis.
Recently, a source close to Tiger Woods shared an update about his ongoing treatment in Switzerland to People. The insider revealed that the professional golfer is expected to stay in Switzerland until June 2026. The source said that the original plan for Tiger was to spend three months in rehab, and that plan is still expected to continue unless something unexpected happens. According to the insider, Tiger is currently under a lot of pressure. The source was quoted as saying:
"The original plan was for Tiger to do a three-month rehab program, which should stay on target unless something major changes. Tiger is doing the best he can with all of the pressure on him with healing and also the legal issues he faces in the coming months. This has created a great deal of stress."

The insider revealed that Tiger Woods is planning to return to golf when the time is right. The source mentioned that no one knows when or how he will do it, but the professional golfer is determined to make a comeback. Before returning to golf, Tiger needs to ensure that his pain is under better control, follow a regular fitness routine, improve his overall health and focus on his recovery. The insider stated that although it is better, it is what Tiger really wants. The source was quoted as saying:
"I don't know when it will be or how he will do it, but Tiger is determined to return. He has to get his pain management going in the right direction and also be able to continue a fitness routine, which will help him do the best he can when seriously playing golf. This could be tough. But it’s something he wants."

On April 1, 2026, Tiger Woods took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share that he was stepping back from his sports career to focus on his health. Taking accountability for the DUI charges, Tiger mentioned that he was seeking treatment and focusing on his health. For those unaware, Tiger Woods was arrested after his car accident on March 27, 2026, on Jupiter Island, Florida. He was charged with driving under the influence (DUI). Tiger wrote:
"I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time -Tiger."
