Thylane Blondeau's Health Battles, Underwent Surgeries After An Ovarian Cyst Burst In Her Stomach

Dubbed as the “most beautiful girl in the world” at age six, Thylane Blondeau recently got married to the man of her dreams, Benjamin Attal. It was in March 2026, when she announced the news of her engagement to Benjamin during their romantic getaway to Greece. Thylane’s journey into the limelight began at three when she was iconic fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier handpicked her for her first runway. But you know the diva had faced severe health complications in the past.

Thylane Blondeau’s ovarian cyst exploded in her stomach

Thylane Blondeau is a popular name in the fashion world but French model has been open about her health battles. She had faced severe complications from ovarian cysts. In 2020, underwent an emergency operation after an ovarian cyst exploded in her stomach. She was rushed for an emergency surgery.

Three months after her first emergency surgery, Thylane Blondeau started experiencing pain in her stomach. She was worried after her abdominal pain returned without within a short time. The model went to many doctors, who couldn’t diagnose what the issue was and dismissed her. They even told her that nothing was wrong with her and it was only her thoughts which made her believe that there was some issue.

However, after multiple hospital visit and an MRI, Thylane was diagnosed with another cyst of 5.6 cm. She once penned her health concerns in a long Instagram post, in which she mentioned how she spiralled with her falling health. Her note can be read as:

“A year ago I had an emergency operation for an ovarian cyst that had exploded in my stomach. 3 months after, my belly started to hurt again and at the beginning everyone thought it was because of the operation. I've seen more than 4 radiology centres in Paris and all of them said the same thing, 'don't worry you have nothing, it's all in your head'. He [Kadoch] sent me to do an IRM and an hour after… the doctor called me and asked me to go straight to the hospital to do an emergency operation."

Daughter of footballer Patrick Blondeau and actress Veronika Loubry, Thylane earned the title of the “most beautiful girl” when she was just six years old. At the age of 10, she made history as the youngest model to appear in Vogue Paris and landed her first magazine cover at 13. By the time Thylane turned 16, she was named as a face of L'Oreal Paris. She made her adult runway debut in 2017 and since then collaborated with brands like Miu Miu, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, and L’Oréal Paris. 

Thylane’s fame began when fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier was captivated by her piercing blue eyes, blonde hair, and signature pout. Over the years she has received global attention for her stunning looks. In a 2018 interview, Thylane spoke about her tag of being the ‘most beautiful girl in the world’ and said:

“People are like, ‘You’re the most beautiful girl in the world,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m not, I’m just playing with my iPad.’ I’m still not the most beautiful girl—I’m just a human being.”
