The film is directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepka Kumar Mishra. It is produced by Balaji Telefilms and TVF Motion Pictures. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's upcoming film is about the Maa Van Devi Temple situated in Bihta, Bihar. It tells the tales of a sacred forest, mysticism, and also why no one is allowed to enter the area after sunset. It's been a long time since mainstream movie stars delved into Indian roots and talked about religious beliefs in a movie.
Maa Van Devi Temple is in Bihta, which is 35 km from Patna. The temple does not have a large idol of the goddess. Van Devi is worshipped as a sacred pind. It is covered in a thick forest, which is now surrounded by agricultural land. It was found in the 16th century, making it 350 to 400 years old.
The Van Devi story is about a devotee from Raghopur, who was a devotee of Maa Vindhyavasini in Vindhyachal. As he grew older, travelling to Vindhyachal became challenging for him. At that time, he had a dream in which the goddess told him to bring some of her holy pind to his village.
It is said that the devotee brought the pind back to his village and established it in the forest near his house. The pind is still worshipped as a traditional idol. People are not allowed to enter the forest and temple after sunset. This tradition leaves many curious to know the reason behind it.
As per traditional folklore, people are not allowed to enter the forest after dark. Even priests leave the place when the temple closes in the evening. It is believed that no one stays inside the temple. As per the local belief, Maa Van Devi is present in the temple at night; she moves around the grounds. This adds to the mystery behind the temple. However, there is no supernatural activity that is linked to the temple.
This is the first time Sidharth Malhotra is being paired opposite Tamannaah Bhatia. For the actress, it was her long-awaited dream to work with Sidharth. The film has been leading all the headlines ever since its trailer was released. It also has a famous song, Chhathi Maiya, featuring Tamannaah.
As per reports, it is the first film in a long time that has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification without any cuts or modifications. The clearance comes at a time when several films are asked to make cuts or changes before receiving the certificate.
